Harley Lover
NADA has been meeting in Las Vegas this week, and news from OEM/dealer meeting leaks out to the media. From the Ford dealer meeting has come this information: Quote Ford Motor Co., beset by ongoing production woes, told dealers on Saturday it was pushing back allocations and that wholesale deliveries will be lighter until the end of May, although it continues to produce vehicles and fill customer orders. Ford dealers who attended a make meeting told Automotive News they did not expect new stock allocations until the end of May due to production cuts Here's the hard info that created the news above: Quote Ford has lost 100,000 units of production due to 37 suppliers failing to provide parts as scheduled, the automaker told dealers in a meeting at the NADA Show here, according to three people present. Because of continued production bottlenecks, Ford executives on Saturday forecast the company's U.S. sales in 2022 will fall roughly 12 percent to 1.66 million, according to two of the people present, down from 1.9 million deliveries in 2021. https://www.autonews.com/nada/ford-pushing-back-dealer-allocations-until-late-may-100000-units-lost-suppliers-struggle?utm_source=industry-events&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=20220312&utm_content=article1-headline
Blown32
Above is likely yet another factor in my F350 build date getting pushed for the 5th time ?

Yeah....April, May, and June are the biggest sales months of the year excepting December, and not good that inventory is so dismal and not improving. Most people are used to seeing vehicle on lot they like and driving it off next day or so. Most don't have the patience to order and wait a year or more for it. Many will cancel and buy used or from another auto company. "Thank you for your patience" is a phrase that rings hollow to many.

For new car buyers, other auto companies are affected by the same industry wide supply issues that caused Ford to revise its production forecast downward. Someone who cancels his or her order with Ford Motor Company and submits a new vehicle sold order with another company may have to wait just as long or longer. Even Tesla is telling people who order a base Model Y now (March 2022 ) they may have to wait until December 2022 to take delivery of the vehicle. Ford is selling a lot of vehicles and customers are willing to order and wait and per u it profit is at an all time high. Even losing 240k units they would still be in 2nd place well ahead of Chevy if the others stay the same.

Liquidation begins at the end of July. 2
