Most likely a conscious decision to go RWD for EV's. The Mach-E is a Mustang, which goes hand-in-hand with RWD. Ditto with the F-150 Lightning. FWD EV would be a poor choice for a pickup truck. They know how to do it, but have chosen not to, at least so far.

I ordered my 2020 F250 in mid Oct 2019 and did not receive it until Valentines Day, 2020. All pre-Covid. I think they are back to pre-Covid production. All depends on what you order on the vehicle. Mine was a Supercab, Lariat, Lightening Blue. Godzilla motor. Sweet truck.

But you said ford can't - I say there was no advantage to fwd in an EV. In fact rwd is probably better with no steering and it leaves more frunk room.

from Borg at GMI "Or so it may seem....CarBuzz is reporting that Lincoln told them an announcement is coming very soon. I also heard from Mike Martinez that Ford/Lincoln will have an announcement about a new hybrid this week (which very well might be Corsair since it's a standard Hybrid). So I think the coast might be clear and the announcement last week was to prep for the news of more Chinese imports...now that they have clearance. At least they can say the Chinese imports are temporary until they "Move Production Back". Ford Has A China Problem With Lincoln, And We Have Questions About That The promise to stop importing Lincolns from China still leaves the door open to importing for years, with 2030 plans for more Lincoln US production. carbuzz.com "Today, Lincoln confirms for CarBuzz that the Corsair will be re-introduced in the US, with "more details to share very soon." It is possible that Ford would import the Corsair from China to the US as soon as next year, even after issuing a statement this week that it "will phase out the importation of vehicles from China for the US market?" The statement also said Ford "will grow Lincoln production in the US beginning in 2030." FWIW, Ford still has a 2027 Corsair on schedule so it should be coming by January." -

I just ordered a 2027 f350 platnium plus on August 6th was told 4-6 months for delivery does this sound about right.. Have seen some others that took longer and some that only took a couple months. -
I just took delivery of a 2026 Nautilus, and my review is quite a bit different than the OP, with some real gripes about safety issues with the crippled infotainment system. For background, My car is a Nautilus Reserve III, (not hybrid). I have owned Lincolns and Jaguars in the past, so I have a reasonable level of experience on what to expect from this type of vehicle. Most of my complaints deal with the horrible infotainment system in this Lincoln, and for direct comparison I reference my 2020 Ford Escape with the Sync 3. Overall, as a vehicle, I love the Nautilus - the looks inside and out, and the general driving experience. It is both very comfortable and economical. So far I have had no problem getting around 30 MPG (only about 2 MPG lower than I consistently got in the Escape with the 2L gas engine). But that nasty Google infotainment system is not only complete garbage, but it is very dangerous because you have to constantly look down at it trying to find stuff or clear the screen, or control anything without real human-focused buttons and knobs. This constant need to only use the touch screen is asinine! Now my Escape also had the OPTION to use Andried Auto, but I never did because it is just so bad. But the beautiful thing was that I did not HAVE to use it - the Sync 3 system was great all by itself. I hate talking to appliances and devices such as a computer, TV, Toaster or CAR, and I am not stupid enough to want to be buddies with a disgusting AI imitation of a human. But due to the extreme safety issues involved, I did relent and quickly learn to use voice commands with both the phone and infotainment system in my Escape. And this is where the real problems show up in the current Nautilus. Any voice control at all is seemingly gone from the infotainment system the way I want to use it. So while my issues may seem unimportant to some, I argue that they are critical safety issues since Ford has seen fit to REMOVE any other reasonable way to interact with the system without removing all attention from the road and driving. Hell, I can't even just reach over and turn a knob to tune in a different radio station by feel anymore! First, I keep all my very large music collection on a USB device. I do not want to stream anything, and I will NOT be forced into doing so. I have no use for Satellite radio when we have so many excellent options for any type of music or entertainment across the bands anywhere I go with a normal radio. and when I want something specific, I already have my own music loaded and ready to play. With Sync 3, the basic voice commands were simple and covered just about any possible option that the driver might want. I didn't even have to select a source for the entertainment first - no matter if the radio was already playing, or the system was just off, all I had to do was push the button on the wheel and say something like "Play some ....", or Show ...., etc. I had options to ask for albums, artists, genres, etc., without looking down or selecting anything on a touch screen. I could start playing all the music of any category, or just something specific like a particular song or album. Now, if a six-year-old Ford could do that, shouldn't a brand new Lincoln have the same capability?????? But Nooooo, if I say "Play some Classic Rock" (or anything else, or "Show" anything), the stupid Google system just responds that it does not understand. If I just say "Play some music", I am told I have to install some additional unwanted garbage app on my phone. It does not matter if I even start by manually selecting USB as the source, there is STILL no voice control available. And even if I give up and decide to just let the nasty Android Auto system play music stored on my phone, the apps STILL do not have any voice control available! Furthermore, to make things even so much worse, I have tried all the compatible apps for playing music with Android Auto, and not a single one of them has all the basic functions that were just standard with Sync 3 and many other Android music apps. I won't waste your time with an analysis of the problems with each of them here, but I wanted to illustrate why this forced use of only Android Auto to use the infotainment system is so bad. ABSOLUTELY NOT A LUXURY VEHICLE EXPERIENCE. I have other complaints with the Nav system and settings also, but I think I have covered enough to make my point.

Didn't say "better"...just a note that there is no FWD centric EV from FoMoCo....was wondering why.... -
What makes fwd better? With electric motors it makes no difference where they are placed.
