As someone who's lived in Utah for 20 years, I don't see any real Utah inspiration in that livery lol. Like there are vague geometric shapes that could be montains, but that's not a thing specific to Utah lol. I was expecting the color to be matched to like our red rocks in Zion's or something. Overall, a swing and a miss that one.

Ford has definitely done a good job with Navigator, however, like others have said, it's lacking on some tech that the competition has.   Hopefully Ford will rectify this at some point, but we haven't seen them take that full step yet when opportunities arise at a redesign/refresh.   They take the "just enough" approach.   They made more of an effort on Aviator than they did with Navigator.   I'm cautiously optimistic that they'll take a more thorough approach for the "G-wagen" model.

I get why Ford wants to get into the market, if they can offer some simple upgrades and make some money, why not?     That said, obviously that package isn't for me, but someone will buy it!   Something I've always wondered - who puts katzkins on?

You know, I can't answer that as I'm not in his position.  It probably depends on how much I liked the job as to whether I would or not.  I don't have all of the details, but I like to think it was a mistake and not a setup to trap employees like you mention.  If it was a setup, then that's a different story.

Would you go back to work for a manager that fired you without examining all the evidence?  How long are you going to last?  They will be looking now for any reason to fire him again.   I understand your point of view, however, you are not looking at the entire situation.  Despite the apologies and back pay, the employee suffered harm, reputational, career, and emotional.  His family also suffered.  Despite the offer for reinstatement, going back at the point that the offer was made was too little too late as he had already found another job with presumably a management team that wasn't keen on firing people without examining all the evidence.   He will get a nice settlement, above and beyond the initial backpay.  Ford's lawyers know this, they don't have a leg to stand on.  They in essence created a hostile work environment, set up to trap employees with known faulty equipment and surveillance cameras that only looked at one machine.  The management team knew or should have known what they were doing.  At this point for Ford it is damage control and trying to make these cases go away as quietly as possible.  I would also think that several of the people in the chain, involved in the firings, would be moved out of their positions, asked to resign, or terminated.

That was my thought as well.   To be fair, the current Ridgeline doesn't really have the buttress either.
