The competition has managed to keep on 3-4 year refresh timelines and 6-7 year redesigns like clockwork, AND introduce multiple new products at the same time, but Ford seems to struggle with it on anything not F-series (and even that is slipping for the next gen).
Yea, especially on the EV side. Between the time I bought my F-150 Lightning in 2022 and last week when I bought a 2025 MME GT for my wife, Ford has nuthin' new or redesigned for its EV product lineup in the U.S. Lightning and MME are still good products, but Ford is fallin' behind GM and Hyundai with its EV lineup.
Kind of make sense now why Ford pulled the plug on the Mahindra RHD CUV that was just weeks away from being unveiled in 2023. It would have duplicate the effort with Territory.
Yea, only the top trim (Platinum+) gets the 2-3 iconography 3D holographic LED taillights.
Thanks for the picture of the LEAF S+ trim. I agree its taillight design looks cheap. The steel wheels with plastic covers are el cheapo too
There's 10 pages in the main Ford section. Ford has given the Escape a 1 year reprieve. So there will be a 2026. It looks like some models will be Hybrid power trains by default.
Yeah, it'll be nice to see Ford actually show something for a change. Seems like they've been talking about things forever now with nothing to show. Constantly cancelling products will do that for ya....
I think as pointed out above, it's the combo of pricing (too high), capabilities (too low in certain areas), and infrastructure (which plagues any EV form).
We'll see if Ford's next-gen EV products can solve some of these issues, but it's the never-ending waiting game...
