Doors are supposed to be removed only for "off road use only"

I had to laugh going through the Jeep area at the Chicago Auto Show. They brought the Recon to display, one with doors and one with the doors pulled off. They've doubled down on the whole "mirrors go with the doors when you take them off so you'll have to buy a kit if you want mirrors when your doors are off" bit. Made me wonder if Ford patented factory body mounted mirrors in conjunction with removable doors on an off road vehicle. Wranglers weren't even worth checking out, as they're the same as they've been other than the discontinuation of the 4xe.

I'd imagine they're in the sketching phase right now, or maybe even a bit further along refining a few final design themes before deciding which one to go with. 

Honestly I have no issues with the stock audio with the sub. It’s not the best at low volume, but turn it up and it sounds a lot better, but I’ve always had the regular audio in cars so maybe it’s just me.   im glad the bronco won’t change much. It’s easier for me to upgrade my bronco if they come out with some parts I like better. There are many parts that ford can change to keep the bronco fresh without having to redesign the whole thing. Grille, wheels, fenders and bumpers all make a huge impact on the look.

I was surprised -- almost shocked -- to see this in the toy section of Walmart. We've pretty much known this.   I think Bronco is the one model they can get away with this, as long as they continue making small upgrades and/or special editions each year.   Only bad thing, is by the time the new one rolls out, Ford will have de-contented everything but the steering wheel and seats in the cabin lol.

I like Sentinel.     I agree that Mercury names should NOT be used.

Ford needs some serious lessons regarding Audio.......even the B & O systems are all ok, but thats giving them credit...

I would prefer if they didn't use a Mercury name and I really like Mainer and Mountaineer but that's just me.   Here are some concept names that Lincoln used in the past: Anniversary Contempra Coronation Futura Indianapolis Machete Maharaja Mardi Gras Model L100 Navicross Quicksilver Sentinel Star Vignale XL-500   None of these names really jump out at me except maybe Sentinel but I don't know if that would really fit a LR competitor I think that name would work on a sedan more.. but again just me.   Kinglouie1957 is naming his one off Lincoln Bronco the Cavallo which is Italian for horse.  Not really a fan but it's not horrible.   I joked a while ago that if Lincoln ever did a model based on the Excursion back in the day they should have called it Dominator, to dominate the road.  It would also fit in with the ator naming scheme with Navigator, and Aviator.   I think Blackwood name is too damaged to use again but what about Redwood?     Some other names that might work, I did ask AI to try to match the Navigator and Aviator names:   Equator - I know Ford uses this in other countries so that may or may not work Viator - latin root for traveler  Liberator  Curator   Now of course they don't HAVE to do that just thought it would be kinda cool if they kept that 'theme'   Other names it suggested were Zenith, Azimuth, Waymark, Lattitude (Mercury used this on a concept), and Meridian (though it mentions Jeep uses this name in India).  None of those were really jumping out at me I think I need more time to think about it.  Plus Gemini got really stuck on Viator and really kept pushing that one.  I told it to clear all parameters and start over but it still insisted on that one 🤣
