The real ones lol. This is what happens when design schools develop a culture based around being weird and quirky rather than trying to focus on developing enticing designs. -
Ford needs to pony up some real money to do a Toyota-style redesign of Explorer: keep the unibody and glass but every exterior metal and plastic surface should be updated to provide a more cohesive and fresh look. That's how you extend the platform life to 2030.

My first reaction: "That's not bad, but it doesn't really stand out like a Ferrari should." Then I see the price: "Holy #$%#! WTH are they thinking?" -
My first gut reaction - "Ah, Nissan Leaf". Very similar color, similar black trim areas, similiar EV shape. $640k is kind of a lot to look like a Nissan Leaf, no matter how much horsepower and what logo you're bringing to the party. -
These designers meaning the internet ones, or the real ones?

Ford really does seem to clean up the designs in refreshes more often than not. I like the current Explorer face/rear better than the 2020 model, though i do think the grille is a tad too square for the sleek body (should've tapered in slightly toward the bottom of it). Hopefully....unless it's lazy reporting and using the old figures.

The fact that they rendered it as not one, but multiple Stellantis branded designs and it fits those better says all you need to know.
