I believe they were supposed incentivize current Corsair owners to upgrade to the Nautilus for the time being, but I’m wondering how long of a gap it will be before the new one comes. I can’t remember the timeline from when we thought the Nautilus was dead until they announced that we would be getting one based off the Chinese model. Either way they need this car—and a sedan.

Absolutely. But, Mercedes obviously has a winning formula there so probably best to use that as a starting point and go from there -
I think the Skyliner name will be used on a Bronco sunroof similar to the Jeep SkyTouch thing or whatever it's called.

Pinto! Sloped hood, smaller than a Maverick, small cargo area. Ford also trademarked Skyline which hasn't been used yet. Or the Pepé? As in Pepé Le Pew, the Warner Bros. amorous skunk character with the French accent? Sorry persons, I can't get excited about this vehicle. I can see where it will likely meet expectations, though. I think the Maverick's success is partly due to people are tired of the SUV silhouette. -
Lincoln’s Latest Marketing Stunt Looks Like An Ultra-Luxury Porta Potty | Carscoops The Sanctuary: By Lincoln Rejuvenate Calls On New Yorkers To Chillax Lincoln sales are in the crapper following the discontinuation of the Corsair, so what’s a brand to do? Apparently build a futuristic pod that resembles an ultra-luxury porta potty. Dubbed “The Sanctuary: By Lincoln Rejuvenate,” it’s billed as an “immersive, multi-sensory installation designed to bring the feeling of calm, comfort, and restoration to life in a completely new way.” Created by Lincoln’s design team, the container features a two-tone Sunrise Copper and White Platinum exterior with flowing lines and soft curves. They’re joined by distinctive vertical windows and prominent badging. The interior is the star of the show as it’s designed to introduce newcomers to the Lincoln Rejuvenate experience. As part of this effort, the pod has a 30-Way Perfect Position seat sourced from a Navigator. It’s wrapped in Warm Horizon leather and features an active motion massage function. The container houses a scent diffuser, which mimics the Lincoln Digital Scent found in its vehicles. As a refresher, the brand offers an assortment of fragrances including Cloud Balsam, Mystic Forest, Ozonic Azure, Serene Seashore, Sunlight Retreat, Twilight Embers, and Violet Cashmere Other highlights include wood trim, a Revel audio system, and a panoramic display that is designed to recall the 48-inch screen found in the Nautilus and Navigator. They’re joined by an ambient lighting system and a motion sensor, which enables users to select between the five different Rejuvenate modes. The Sanctuary offers five- and ten-minute sessions, and is designed to help people “pause, reset, and reconnect.” While Lincoln is making a big deal about the experience, the automaker revealed only about a third of Nautilus and Navigator owners use Rejuvenate “frequently.” As for the pod, it will be at The High Line in New York as part of the festivities around Global Wellness Day. Fans can check it out between June 12 and 14.

Ford’s Answer To The Jeep Wrangler 392? Surrender | Carscoops Don't hold your breath for a Bronco Raptor R.... Speaking to Road & Track, Ford Racing Production Vehicles Chief Engineer Carl Widmann said he wasn’t aware of any plans for Raptor R versions of the Bronco or Ranger. He went on to say the “Ranger Raptor might even already have too much power.”

Ok....but Maverick is on the same "higher than average costs" platform as products that were dropped. Y'all are missing the point. I'm not saying they're for sure dropping Maverick...............I'm just saying that the factors that have led to Ford exiting other segments like Escape (platform, competition, pricing, etc) could come to Maverick if someone like Toyota or Ram or GM enter the segment and start giving Maverick real competition. That said, it's a truck, and they actually seem to care about trucks, so they're likely going to put money into maintaining it, theoretically with learnings from CE1, instead of just dropping it.

Yes, I think the G-wagen references are solely there for comparison of general shape, and not implying it's going to be some ultra high priced model. I'm also thinking along the lines of Defender, GX, R1, etc. and am envisioning it slotting between Nautilus and Aviator size wise with boxy styling.

The wheels are much better than the "standard" ST wheels, which I've hated on the refresh (though I never liked the 2020+ version that much either). Also, I guess the normal ST badges have chrome on the outside or something? I didn't realize that.

Forgive me, I'm not understanding how the headline is misleading? Glad to see it's supposed to return....I'm not sure why there's such a gap between ours and the new one....dealers will be hurting in the meantime.
