I do want to go but just got to find the time. Right now, trying to read up on all the things in owners manual (yes, I read it). Then figure out all the things I need to get/do to prepare for what I need it to do. All while getting to know and understand what is normal/not normal, while breaking it in. Lots of new sounds (wind, engine, trans). Overall, very happy. I think my first order of business is installing my wheel locks at least on the spare tonight. -
Yes, I was saying truly young people in my age bracket would be probably buying this used After the people in the 34 to 52 bracket have their turn. The only way to actually get a ton of people in my age bracket buying new would be to offer B-segment shit like the Renault 4 E-tech for $20,000 USD. At that price you could lure in anyone with good enough credit who likes a tech forward car (since otherwise at that price point might as well just get a nicer car used). This probably won’t actually happen unless Nissan finds a way to bring over the Micra, Chevy keeps making another Bolt, or if Ford makes a new Focus on UEV. I would not bet on any of those three things.

I know a big part for me also was limited vacation time by the time I was looking into trying to use it - I had other trips planned and didn't want to/couldn't allocate vacation days to a trip just for that (most weekend options were booked up when I was looking into it before it expired).

Yeah and COVID made that harder to do to a point too. I didn't go to mine, even though it was like 6 hour drive or so to NH one. -

The issue is the RS200 is a 40 year old nameplate that has zero name recognition outside of hardcore car nuts-Yes its a fucking awesome car for its time, but it sure can't handle carrying a super car name by name recognition alone. They would be far better off calling the Ford Raptor or something like that, because it would the be apex off road vehicle they make performance wise, IMO -

Got this from Google, so take it with a grain of salt: Ages 55 and over: Make up 52% of all vehicle buyers (while representing only 38% of the adult population). This group has the highest concentration of wealth, enabling them to purchase premium and new vehicles. Ages 35–54: Account for approximately 34% of buyers. Ages 34 and under: Make up only 14% of vehicle buyers (despite representing 30% of the adult population). Young drivers also represent about 8% to 10% of new vehicle registrations -
I'd be surprised if it's "affordable".

I regret not using my free one. Just never was able to make the timing work since it'd have had to be its own trip to one of the locations.

30-40 somethings are relatively young. And then in 3-4 years when the car is being sold used 20-30 somethings would then go on to buy it, and so on

Once again I think many are ignoring just what the class 6/7 market Is. IMO, it is not restricted to the big fleets with mostly class 8 vehicles. Granted there are exceptions such as UPS and some rental companies but the bulk of the 6/7 market is American small business of all types where the truck is not the primary breadwinner but something that supports the business..such as building contractors, manufacturers, food, furniture vendors, heavy equipment dealers etc. And this I say is the true class 6/7 market. I spent my 44 yrs split between an international oil and a very large pvt co. that involved dairy, C-stores, gas stations and agriculture. Class 6/7 a very small percentage.
