I think you're taking the dates too literally.  It's just from a Facebook page some guy created, which I've actually checked out as a fan of the old land yachts.  1995 is more or less when the last of the old-style vehicles disappeared like the GM B bodies, K-cars, etc.  

I think the issue with EVs these days is that they are "thick" i.e. have a high beltline. When I think plump, its normally something shorter and rounder lol    The Fathom, going by the patent drawings and the mules seems to be a more aerodynamic Maverick in my eyes. 

So I'll put this out there- The Edison plant was built in the late 1940s and was able to build Ranger Pickup trucks at the end of its run without any major modifications to the plant itself.   There was changes to the paint shop, but I don't remember or recall it being a huge modification, and it was due to going from single stage paint to basecoat/clear coat paint system.    I think the real limiting factor is the paint shop and Ford doesn't want to spend the money rebuilding the paintshop to accept taller vehicles.     

Wasn't Lincoln supposed to do this kind of personalized program? I thought that the Navigator that they did for Serena Williams was the starting point….but again Cadillac takes the iniciative

If you ask me the Nautilus should’ve NEVER been imported from China in the first place or any other Lincoln for that matter. 

From what I remember of what was previously said, the issue is in the paint shop with not enough height. When Flat Rock was first built, it was a casting plant for Ford and closed in 1981. Then it was "sold" to Mazda for a joint venture to built Mazda6 and Probe and later Cougar....well before the current CUV demand and since it was "only" building coupes and sedans, the height issue was no issue at all....

Remember the announcement only stated increasing Lincoln production not that they are specifically moving Nautilus and Corsair production here.   The next gen Corsair I believe is the Lincoln CUV to be built at LAP on the UEV platform.   Also the Lincoln “Bronco” will be coming out of MAP.   The next gen Nautilus might move to UEV as well but not confirmed still very fluid. If it doesn’t it could come from anywhere.

If they move F-SD chassis cabs to Oakville, that would free up capacity. I think I read somewhere when they made the Oakville announcement that it would be capable of building chassis cabs.
