Dead for Ford and Jim Farley, not for the rest of the industry.

My main hope is that Ford just sticks to this plan. Its good, we don’t need to change it. Waking up on Jan 1, 2030 with this lineup is perfect:   ICE: *Escape (the $25k subcompact entry SUV) Explorer  Expedition    Bronco Sport  Bronco  *Bronco Pickup   Mustang Coupe *Mustang 4-door   Maverick  Ranger (or *F-100?) F-Series + Super Duty EV: *Fathom Lightning EREV(?)   *UEV Crossover Mach E   * = new product   I’m ignoring the commercial vans because I’m not familiar with the lineup I just know Ford does it well. This would be a great lineup though, only vehicle that would be the odd one out is the Mach E. The $25k crossover does stick out a little as contradicting their new strategy, but it does resolve the argument I started to make elsewhere that the compact Escape if redesigned correctly would just be the Bronco Sport by making the Escape a cheaper subcompact. If they can do it properly (profitably) then it would be a nice entry into either the Bronco series or the “cars that start with E” series.

I mainly meant SUV. Sedans are dead outside of performance.

They'll never call it Maverick wagon.  That'd be stupid.   Call it Escape.  Despite the recent issues with it, people know what Escape is and I think it still has a positive reception in the market.  Make the product good enough and buyers will return.   Give the EV a new name to go along with its new direction.     Agreed - I see it using the Mythic or Fuze name or one of the other similar names they trademarked recently.

Are there any plans for a hybrid version of the Bronco for the 2027 Model Year?  As a replacement for the Escape, I would think that a hybrid version is a must!

Eh, I think it'll be the "tough" look while still being more luxury oriented in line with the rest of the lineup.   I think I've said it before, but it'd be really cool if they gave it the full width dash screen at the base of the windshield (presumably it'll have a pretty short dash like Bronco) and gave it an offroad camera view that sort of makes the hood "invisible" by displaying the camera image across the whole width screen.

The Mythic name would work decently for the Utility EV

The only problem with Spain is this: Trump orders US Treasury to cease all trade with Spain after calling Madrid a ‘terrible partner’   I really think that for the next 5 years or so, its going to radioactive to even consider importing vehicles from outside of NAFTA to the USA. I don't see a major change in policy, even if the political headwinds change in the next presidential election. 

Well Ford only has one car, the Mustang, so I wouldn't look into it too hard LOL   And the Escape is gone as of 2027
