Jaguar was always my favorite brand, I had hope for this car but this isn’t it. I don’t want brutalist design for a luxury car. I think, sadly, this will be the end of the road for them. I’m assuming the Type 02 is already being developed with the same style in mind. I’m sure there will be some that like this but not enough to keep them afloat.

Amid Incoming Ford Bronco Based SUV, Luxury Shoppers Say Lincoln Is Rugged In the H1 2026 Kelley Blue Book Brand Watch Report, Lincoln owners ranked that brand tops among all of its premium peers in terms of driving comfort, affordability, and interior layout, second in exterior styling and ruggedness, and third when it comes to durability, in fact. --- I guess it's a broad styling and ruggedness category, but I wouldn't consider Lincoln "rugged" except maybe Navigator. I'll be interested to see if that "Skylands" trim (reportedly an offroad-oriented package for Lincoln) turns into anything, and how it'd apply to the more slick models like Nautilus, Corsair, and Aviator.

Yes.....it's just you lol. And yes, it was posted a couple months ago originally with additional details recently.... IIRC, JLR is swapped engines a few years back (the last connection I think), so there aren't really any Ford ties anymore.....could be wrong on that, though.

Ford Bronco Pickup Rumored As Next Big Step For Bronco I find these renderings of the Bronco pickup with the roll cage extending into the bed funny..... Yes, they'd totally have the rollcage take up half the bed, and leave the spare tire on the tailgate......

Wasn't sure where to throw this.... The US Might Be About To Cut Canadian Auto Tariffs | Carscoops A new trade deal being finalized between the United States and Canada may see tariffs on vehicles built in Canada cut from 25 percent to 15 percent, a change which will no doubt have a big impact on the country’s auto sector. Perhaps of equal importance to the potential lower tariffs for Canadian cars would be a reduction in tariffs on steel and aluminum from 50 percent to 25 percent. It’s understood that the lower tariff would apply to up to 4 million metric tons of steel and aluminum per year, and that imports beyond this level will continue to be subject to the 50 percent rate. --- Also, I think we knew this, with that van becoming whatever's going to OHAP (Transit Custom?)......odd that they haven't mentioned this other product Ford Maverick Based Van Scrapped For Affordable Crossover According to the latest Automotive News future product report, the Maverick-based van has now been canceled, and it will instead be replaced by a new crossover with a $25k starting price tag - one that reportedly looks like the first-generation Ford Escape in many ways. As Ford Authority previously reported, this new crossover is slated to launch in 2029 with a starting price tag of around $25,000, and it will reportedly be offered in both traditional gas and hybrid form. The new crossover - like the now-discontinued small van - is expected to be produced alongside the Ford Bronco Sport and Maverick at the Hermosillo Assembly plant in Mexico, meaning that it will likely also be underpinned by the C2 platform shared by those models.

Genesis’ New GV90 Goes After BMW Money With Rolls-Royce Tricks | Carscoops 2027 Genesis GV90 Revealed: A Flagship Three-Row SUV With Coach Doors Genesis GV90 Debuts With a Long List of Firsts and Fancy Gimmicks - Autoblog The GV90 will be offered in two versions: the conventional GV90 and the fancier GV90 Neolun. The latter gets Genesis' new Neolun Arch Gate, which replaces the traditional B-pillar with a hidden structural design and independently opening coach-style doors. The cabin is packed with technology, too. A 23.6-inch OLED display serves as the main instrument and infotainment screen while driving. When parked, it rises by 90.0 millimeters to create a larger 24.6-inch display for watching content. There's also a massive 25.0-inch head-up display in place of a conventional instrument cluster. The four-seat GV90 Neolun Executive Suite takes things up a notch with a wood-veneer floor—yes, real wood—in the second row with radiant heating, a privacy partition, roll-up shades, a refrigerator, and a six-zone Smart Vision Roof that can adjust its transparency. Underneath all that opulence is an electric-only platform called eMP, which Genesis developed specifically for its flagship models. The GV90 uses a 123.5-kilowatt-hour battery, making it the largest battery fitted to a Hyundai Motor Group EV to date. Genesis estimates the seven-seat GV90 will travel approximately 500 kilometers, or about 311 miles in the US, on a single charge. A 350-kilowatt DC fast charger can take the battery from 10 to 80 percent in a claimed 22 minutes. Power comes from front and rear electric motors producing a combined 657 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. ---- I never thought the concept looked particularly good, and likewise don't really love how the production model looks either (basically the same), but I do give them credit for actually showing concepts and putting them into production. And also for really pushing to expand Genesis. Meanwhile, Ford has to take 15 years to think about adding a model at Lincoln, while cancelling another to add it. I personally don't really see the purpose of the chairs flipping backward, but it's cool I guess! lol

It looks claustrophobic. I realize it's real-world images vs. the press photos in this post, but still. It not having a rear window likely doesn't help either.

I scrolled through here rather quickly, so I don't know if anybody else mentioned it, but JLR is having Stellantis make Land Rover Defenders. It seems to me that Ford would have been the logical choice since JLR may -- or may not -- still have SOME Ford DNA. After this long, probably not. But to me, the Defender and the Bronco came from the same stylist/styling studio and platform. Well just look at them. Is it just me?
