Exactly, there's really just no point to it. The 5.0 is just so good both in NA and forced induction forms that there's not much it can't do that a larger pushrod style motor can. It would just be unnecessary.    Plus at a time when we all want the mustang to get lighter and more agile, shoving a big super duty motor under the hood would essentially ruin the driving dynamics. 

From what I understand, the official reason for making the 6.8 V8 was all to do with having a replacement for the 6.2 Boss buyers…..they needn’t have bothered. My theory was having the 6.8 as the base allowed a small price increase on the 7.3, (maybe that’s wrong) but Ford now prefers the simplified production of one engine     There’s been a rumour for ages that Mustang would get a 7.0 V8, be that based on OHC Boss or the Godzilla, Yeah that kinda spends 20 years and I think people saw it for what it was, nice but not really what Ford wanted. The Supercharged DOHC V8s kinda quenched the hunger for 427/428/429 CID, only a few keep waiting.

I still remember the rumors of a 6.8 mustang and how wacky the idea of a super duty motor in a mustang was. Glad that fell apart. 

Too bad it hasn't made it to the Aviator line yet.  Today my front camera stopped working, so now no front camera, no front sensors, folding mirror issues, tailgate issues, parking brake issues and paint issues.  But what do you expect for $83k.  And Ford is now planning on drive by wire steering and braking...are you f'n crazy, this company buys the worst electronics out there and your going to trust steering and braking electronics to them.

Would say that applies to most muni's in the country.Ford's best numbers I believe are with the business fleets where the truck is in support of the business.  Lowest cost and convenience of local dealership.

Sweet Bonanza game   Yeah, the 6.8 always felt like an odd middle step to me. If the take rate was low anyway, simplifying things around the 7.3 probably makes more sense than keeping two very similar gas V8s around. Funny how all that 7.0 speculation just disappeared too.

I think that's the mach-e latestest EV demonstrator design. 

I'd guess Internationals are probably the most popular class 6-7s in the TwinCities metro by a slim margin, lots of Freightliners. Muni's seem to go for Internationals with a few Fords. Seeing more Paccar class 7 day cab fleets, too.

In my daily travels around various towns, I'm seeing more Ford mediums than any other brand. Moving trucks, utility/tree cutting bucket trucks, flatbed tow trucks, liquor delivery, general box delivery. Not Internationals, Freightliners, Hinos............mostly Fords. Is it just here in central CT?
