I just don't think it sold very well.

My brother filled up at the Costco in Owasso/N. Tulsa on Saturday for $2.96/gal for E10/87, and the Owasso Sam’s had the same fuel for the same price. The Costco on the other side of town (16 miles away) was listed at $3.75 for the same fuel.    I paid $3.71/gal for E10/87 at the west Tulsa Sam’s on Saturday evening.

I was thinking switch gear, vents, similar styling, maybe seats? I know it wouldn't be a direct fit or interchangeable between them.

I think it is.   I feel like it was eliminated because of quality issues (without Ford admitting it), as a way to simplify/eliminate a combo to get quality issues under control across product lines with an eye on a return down the road as they get things ironed out.   But that's my conspiracy theory lol.

2021-2026 Ford F-Series Recalled Over Rearview Camera Issue   The defect: in affected vehicles equipped with the 8-inch SYNC infotainment screen, a software error may cause the rearview camera image to be obstructed by the infotainment home screen menu when the vehicle is placed in reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."   The hazards: an obstructed rearview camera image can reduce the driver's rear visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
