Sounds like lower production costs are not being passed onto vehicle manufacturers…
not unless you make your own batteries like BYD.
Also those global average prices include a ton of Chinese produced vehicles which have
all kinds of government support, skewing those prices, upshot is non-China production
of batteries is a lot more expensive because China controls most refining of battery materials.
last year, Farley was on a stream saying that large battery in large ev can be up to $50,000
and at that, Ford is losing money which is whay they are running fast from anything too big.
(Maybe vehicles like GM Hummer battery?)
