So I was just thinking about this. He's said if they revisiting the idea of a performance affordable car, he would want something that blurs the lines of on and off-road more than the st and RS did. So what about a sportier looking hatchback that looked to past Ford rally cars for inspiration instead of purely road going models? A design like this that could call back to escorts of the past. -
That would suggest 24.7 - 33.6 MPG to us Yanks. Not bad. Thanks!

https://www.autoblog.com/news/hyundai-stops-sales-of-2026-palisade-after-fatal-rear-seat-incident The issue is with the power-folding system for the rear seats. Sometimes, it doesn’t detect when someone or something is in the way as the seats move. This affects both the power-fold function and the one-touch tilt-and-slide feature for getting into the third row. According to Hyundai, this latest move follows a tragic incident involving a Palisade in which a young child lost her life. The company said the situation is still under investigation and that full details of the event are not yet known. Hyundai extended its condolences to the child’s family while noting that safety remains its top priority. -

It wasn’t back in 2022 when we bought a RAV4 hybrid instead of an Escape hybrid either. You had to get the top level model to get Auto up front windows. What the hell Ford. I’m sure it’s just only gotten worse. Where are the pictures of said car? 😎 -

Guys, I have an amazing update! I tagged Ford and their executives on X, and the official Ford Motor Company account actually replied! They said: "Innovation and performance are at the heart of our future. We appreciate the detailed feedback on what you’d like to see in a new Focus." The fact that they specifically highlighted "Performance" and acknowledged the "detailed feedback" is a massive sign. It shows they are actually listening to the demand for a sleek, fastback Focus ST/replacement rather than just another boxy SUV. What does everyone think? Does this give you more hope for the 2027 Valencia model? -
I would if it made a noticeable difference in actual performance vs just a different number on paper. Torque is unchanged so it's unlikely there would be any noticeable performance difference in street driving.

I wouldn't say that, they are coming out with four new EV products this year...almost everyone else has cancelled them or drastically cut back on them. -

Hey everyone, With all the rumors swirling about the 2027 Focus replacement coming out of the Valencia plant, the industry seems split. Half say it's going to be a traditional, boxy SUV like the Explorer/Kuga, and the other half say it's going to be a "squashed Kuga" with a sleek, aerodynamic fastback roofline like the Chinese Mondeo Sport / Evos. I really hope Ford goes with the Evos/Mondeo Sport method. Ford's lineup is already completely packed with traditional, boxy SUVs right now. Adding another one just to compete with the Kuga makes no sense, which is exactly why a fastback design is the smartest choice! If the classic Focus hatchback is dead, making its replacement an "SUV-ish fastback" is the only way to keep that sporty, low-slung hatchback spirit alive and offer something genuinely different. Also, since a new RS is highly unlikely, Ford needs to give us a proper trim ladder to keep the enthusiast spirit alive: A solid Standard version. An ST-Line with proper, stiffer sport suspension and handling tuned just like the amazing MK4 Focus. A halo ST Performance version: Make it an AWD Hybrid pushing around 400hp. What does everyone else think? Should Ford go for the sleek Evos-style fastback since they already have enough traditional SUVs? And would you buy a 400hp AWD Hybrid ST?
