It’s not coming before the Bronco Sport-there is no production announcement for hybrid 2.3L in the US and I doubt they’ll import it from overseas. All the evidence points to the Sport-shares the same platform with the Escape hybrid and Maverick hybrid and would require next to nothing engineering wise to integrate it. Plus there are rumors of a new Bronco Sport coming in 2028. -
Not sure about that. If Ford is going to deliver a hybrid Bronco before T6.3, then 2027 makes more sense. Delivering it in 2028 allows for only two model years given that T6.3 is expected to be a 2030 model year. This would equally apply to the Ranger getting a hybrid.

Irrelevant, the customer set that makes Ford big money and that are begging for it are BOF Bronco owners.

I don’t think so. Remember when Farley went out in the field with a bunch of Bronco enthusiasts? He talked a lot about how those customers want PPO on their BOF Broncos. And he said it is coming. Giving the BS a hybrid with PPO before the BOF Bronco would really upset those customers.

It won't make much of an impact: The above photo is from the Maverick, the old battery pack was quite a big larger. The BS and Escape are more or less identical in size from the B-C pillar forward. -
Wouldn't that be the next-gen model anyway? Wasn't that the rumored timeline?

The biggest issue is that there hasn't been any announcements from Ford about new powertrains going to the Cleveland Engine plant (where the 2.3L Ecoboost comes from). I'm not even sure with the ROW Ranger Hybrid engine is being sourced from-if its built at Valencia and assembled with a different transmission some place else?
