  1. I agree with you on the exaggeration. We bought an Escape for our daughter and she really likes it. The interior is quiet contrary to a previous comment above and there isn’t a bunch of hard plastic all over. The exterior is ok to me but she says she has had positive comments about it, mostly comparing it to the Porches. Is it a perfect vehicle, no, and it can be better. However, it is far from the POS Implied in these forums. As an aside, I was with some friends at a local Ford dealer and they had the first Bronco Sport I’ve seen in person. My friends thought it was the actual Bronco, and I had to explain the situation to them. Needless to say they weren’t impressed with the Sport so not everyone appreciates the upright boxy look of the Bronco. It may have taken longer than it should, but I think Ford’s two vehicle approach to this segment will likely pay off in the long run. Perhaps a little something for everyone.

  2. Guess what, I used to own up to 9 months ago a SUBARU Crosstrek and a Porsche Boxster. And I road tested and researched the RAV4, CRV, and CX-5 before buying the Escape SE Sport Hybrid with premium package and optional paint job. Car and Driver picked the Escape hybrid over the RAV hybrid and lots of complaints about CRV hybrid. And CX-5 fuel mileage is half of my hybrids fuel mileage. Escape WON.

  4. I was not talking about the video shared here. How about the Georgia State Farm Arena security video? Nothing to see here, right? I just want real answers for that.

  6. Ford would appear to have interesting options if the decision is made to manufacture batteries. Solid Power, a company in which Ford have an investment stake (along with BMW and others) has made solid progress (pun intended) on solid state batteries: https://cleantechnica.com/2020/12/11/solid-state-batteries-theyre-everywhere-theyre-everywhere/

  7. Looks like Ann Arbor, Michigan just bought two Mach-E's to be used as cop cars. https://www.mlive.com/news/ann-arbor/2021/01/ann-arbor-police-department-getting-its-first-all-electric-ford-mustangs.html

  8. From Trump's inauguration, hell even in 2016 when Jobama was in office, until 2020 all we heard was the Russian collusion in the election. They went after him for all 4 years about everything. First is why did Jobama let this happen since they were in office? Did we hear anything about the horrible job they did while they were in charge? What has been done in the last 4 years that makes you all of the sudden think we have the most secure elections ever? Has there ever been an election in our history as abnormal as this one?

  9. One of the big concrete companies in our area converted to full CNG and has CNG stations at their facilities for refueling. I could see DC fast chargers becoming a feature at police stations.

  10. This actually makes a ton of sense for future purpose built police cars. So much fuel is wasted on the PI idling just in case they have to take off quickly. The BEV can just sit and wait without wasting fuel or charge. Instant torque and movement.

  11. And when that was launched, MA was the second state after CA to accept that. I had a window sticker on a car (EXP) that stated California/Massachusetts standard, before the others jumped in too. Many states usually join in, but MA is the first to ride the coat tails and they are fast to do it too.

  12. Sale satisfaction is allot different then Quality ratings. Its like marriage when the honeymoon is over all that luster is lost. Ford really needs to work on their Quality issues.

  13. The overvoting lies were from other states. If ballots were electronically counted more than once then the manual recount would have shown that and it didn’t. Also the 2nd electronic recount would not have matched the first one. The workers decided to shut down for the night. The supervisor saw them stop on camera and called to tell them to keep going another couple of hours because they were on a tight deadline. If hundreds of Republican election officials across the state saw nothing wrong then that’s good enough for me to accept the SOS explanation. Courts rejected these accusations because there is no actual evidence.

  14. Normal? The person in the top left feeds through ballots , straitens them and feeds them again? Why did most people leave? Why was the rejection rate extremely low compared to historical percents everywhere? I never heard anything about number of registered voters for Georgia. Trump gained in minority voters.

  15. I hope they dont go back to steel. Our fleet superduty trucks dont have an easy life. The aluminum has held up better than i would have thought. Spending most of their time in the rust belt, the aluminum is great and we dont see any of the corrosion even with some at 200k miles now.

  16. I do believe JP you hit the nail on the head. I think Covid is everyones latest excuse to bail on an issue. Either that or there are ongoing issues associated with Covid and the effectiveness of the vaccine that Dr Fauci isn't telling us about? My guess is the deal was not that well thought out and the wheels were coming off.....This was done under Hackett's regime right?

  17. As someone who grew up in MN, I like the AL F-series for its rust resistance and light weight. I question whether the new steels are actually any cheaper than aluminum when you consider the recycling programs Ford put in place to optimize the price for scrap. At any rate, if they do make the switch, I’ll likely get in line for the last of the aluminum bodies.

  18. Ford already spent billions promoting its aluminum bodies ad switching over 4 plants to handle it. Switching back just doesn't make sense.

  19. I'm sorry. I regret to inform you that you're not allowed to like your Escape. It's a dumpster fire piece of garbage - the internet and reviewers said so.

  21. I was just going to say the same thing. A. a lot of camo, so you can't see much. B. I do see the usual 7 slot grille. So nothing new there. Looks like the usual 3 row CUV to me.

  22. This would be an example of following part of Tesla's business model (fewer model changes in favor of OTA updates) that I think would fail for Ford. Do the OTA updates, but not to the exclusion of redesigns. You're not Tesla, Ford.
