Channel 2 (Fox locally) is the only local I can't get and I don't care enough to invest in an antenna that can pick up whatever band they broadcast on.

I do need to come up with a solution for the upcoming WBBBT special Tigers season and the upcoming NASCAR season.

My $35 antenna was paid for in less than one month without satellite, so it was a good investment. Without it, though, we couldn't pick up anything since we're a ways from the nearest stations. Not to mention, when it's vital to have good TV reception during storms, that's when satellite always died.

When the HDTV conversion happened, the local Fox affiliate went from UHF to VHF--and they don't put much power through their antenna, so I don't receive it well at all (get the other two VHF channels and their subs just fine, and all the UHFs)

Shoulda known better than to trust Kyle Shanahan to make good decisions when the game was on the line.

Exactly! He makes 10 genius play calls and then 2 or 3 boneheaded ones at critical moments. Did the same thing in the KC regular season game for the pick 2 that lost that game. Personally I'm happy to see him go.

They were looking at a chip shot to ice the game, assuming they got even 6 yards total on three runs up the gut.

Ah well, I remember when Gary Anderson missed a chip shot to ice the NFC championship against Atlanta in '99, so I guess, Karma?

A child is born and love is made alive

Say hello to Benjamin Michael. Born 2/18 at 11:28pm. 6lbs 14oz, 19 inches long

Congratulations.

As a guy with three daughters, the youngest 17, all I can do is tell you to enjoy your time with him growing up. It goes quicker than you think.

Congrats man! Nothing compares to the birth of a child!

I want to echo what Pioneer said. Time sure does get away from you once little ones enter your life.

Side note, we almost named our son Banjamin Michael, but went with Benjamin Thomas (my name is Thomas) instead. Had we named him Benjamin Michael, his initials would have been BMW. :)
