They could take the CD6, make it look like an Audi Q5 Sportback with Mustang styling and call it the Mach 4. I'd be okay with it as long as the 5.0 Coyote was an option and it would start under $50K. I would place an order as soon as they'd let me to replace my Edge ST.
I'd be okay with a sedan as well with Audi S5 Sportback styling, as long as it also had the 5.0 Coyote as an option and start under $50K.
I mentioned this in the first reply. This $4.76 billion transfer is not an investment but backfilling the negative capital account of Ford Europe which has to be done to avoid tax penalties. Ford is not investing in Europe, in fact quite the opposite. There is no new product coming after Focus and Kuga are done.
This brings up an interesting point, this sedan may use the s650's platform, but will it look like an s650 stretched, or will it be its own unique design? There's pros and cons to both.
What does have me concerned is the consumer reception to the s650 has been rather lackluster, and it's gonna look even more dated seeing that design on a sedan 2-3 years from now.
Perhaps Ford could use a sedan to explore new styling that's bolder to gauge the reaction to that, and apply that same styling language to a next gen coupe once it releases near the end of this decade or so.
StevePin Florida, I am brand new to this forum and on the verge of buying a dash cam. I found a product by Dongar that lets you power the cam from the rear view mirror. The kit uses a short harness that you plug into the back of the mirror and plug the factory mirror cable into the other end of the harness. The harness then has a connector for powering the cam via a short wire. There are 3 different short wires with different connectors to match the camera power port included in the kit. There may not be power to the mirror/camera when the ignition is OFF taking the parking mode of the camera out of the mix. There is at least one other kit that taps into the harness that is inside the black box on the windshield behind the mirror. I have not used either of these products but YouTube videos are available. Dave.
I would think new bodysides, new roof, new doors, new rear floor pan and some new reenforcement pieces, mainly in the new b-pillar area. Most of the rest should be common from a body standpoint. Maybe a reworked front and/or rear subframe to accommodate the extra body length and weight.
Oh man I hope not, if for other reason there’s already enough competition in a market that is FLOODED with CUVs. Something different could be great, look at how big of a hit Maverick is.
I ordered and installed Part# PC3Z-3600-PA from a Ford dealer, and it works as it should so far. The main thing is to check which part number would be correct for your vehicle, and then find the exact same part number with the leather modifier at the end. The plastic steering wheel that came on my XLT was the PC3Z-3600-RA, and the leather version with the same features was the same part number ending in PA instead of RA.
Hope this helps anyone else out there trying to do the same thing.
MAKE SURE YOU GET IT RIGHT, BECAUSE THEY TOLD ME NO RETURNS FOR ANY PART THAT DOES NOT MATCH THE VIN
Yes, I have been following the news on the Ranger PHEV for a long time and the early automotive press was saying 360 HP for the Ranger PHEV. I'm still hoping for a non-knobbled Ranger in North America.
