They had the opportunity back in 2003 with dew98 and again with CD6 but things got in the way. Having excess capacity at FlatRock and wanting to make Mustang a sub brand plus the opportunity to do hybrids might make it happen this time. I emphasize might. Could also make a case for Mondeo and Zephyr at FR.
Yea things got really toxic there towards the end. Wings was going after everyone even @joseodiaga4 and pissed off 2b2 permanently to the point where 2b2 doesn't post on forums at all anymore. I am friends with him on Facebook but all he does these days is post nonstop political stuff and how angry he is.
All the new F-150 logos are black (with white letters instead of chrome)....or if they're not black, they're like Antimatter Blue where they look black 99.9% of the time, rather than the clearly blue blue oval they've used to this point.
Obviously, this was Navigator in those Aviator spy shots from months ago...
It's common for testing models to have the deployable running boards out.
They're not going to make a single part the has both headlights and connecting lightbar all in one piece. Just realities of parts and assembly, even if it's not the ideal look.
Wow, I joined here in 2007......nearing 20 years now.....that's crazy!
Oh yeah I remember FMCNews/FIN - that place fell apart. I'm glad we still have enough active members here, even if it's less than the heyday....
It almost felt like Ford was getting committed with CD6 but that stalled really hard after the Explorer/Aviator launch and also the slow death of the sedan.
I haven't posted on this forum a ton, I joined in 2008 though. Some of these names you guys mention I remember too though like Premierdrum and P71. I posted more on FoMoCoNews which became FordInsideNews which died a very slow and painful death. No idea if Wingsnut ever came here from that site but me and him used to get into it a lot, he was Mr Ford can do no wrong and everything they do is 100% correct every single time. He also hated the Lincoln LS which I drove at that time and loved taking digs at it saying he was glad it was dead and the MKZ replaced it. But yet the Retro Thunderbird was a 'very fine car' which was based on the Lincoln LS....
Of course I post/posted on a lot of other forums too and recognize a lot of folks here from those sites as well like the LLSOC and GMInsidenews
