People often forget about the consequence for third row passengers in a small compact utility. those people, usually small adults or kids can be sitting less than a foot off the rear of the vehicle. in a rear end crash, they have almost zero protection from impact forces and intrusion.

Did Ford introduce Lane Center? I’ve heard that it operates better than lane keep which just bounces you off the side line.

All Ford vehicles manufactured in Mexico after 5/02/2025 seems to imply price rises from $600 to $2,000 depending on equipment levels. Ford also saying that this doesn’t completely cover price impact from tariffs, interesting.

It will be interesting to see the sales figures on these vehicles after that $2k price bump goes into effect. Mach E was pretty dependent on incentives, and maverick is starting to lose its value proposition. Maverick is 30k and Bronco Sport is 33k after destination on ford’s website now. If the price bump isn’t reflected in those prices yet, then add another 2k. That’s getting expensive for the lowest trims.

Most likely. Winds were in the 35 mph range with higher gusts. The Mackinac Bridge Authority is adamant that winds did not cause the accident, but an eye-witness said the wind blew her Yugo off the bridge like it was a piece of paper. This accident was a real big deal in Michigan for several years. The topic still comes up on occasion.
