I'd love to see some new concepts but ford seems allergic to the idea. 

So just starve the dealerships of product and hope they go bankrupt or just give up. Seems like a great strategy.   This shit is embarrassing. And they wonder why sales tank on Ford/Lincoln products when they do little with them and they are basically 10 years old models.    Didn’t they delay the F150 redesign by another year…

I’m not holding my breath on this.  The only announcements I see are how this and that model’s redesign is being delayed by yet another year or more, or a model is getting cancelled.  I can’t recall the last time I have seen a concept vehicle from Ford, showing a new model or design trend. Frankly, there has been little for me to get excited about for quite a while with Ford.  Perhaps some are excited about CE1, however that isn’t a class of vehicle I’m interested in.  From strategic perspective, CE1 is relevant though, so I get it.  

Why didn’t they just call it the M Sport RT Ranger?  It sounds better than MS RT Ranger. 

Yeah, IIRC the representative mentioned in video that solar panels can charge the 16 kWh battery bank, which can then charge the EV and or power house.  I’d have to watch video again but recall him saying it can work in a couple of different ways.  One for sure is through car’s  charger powered by system’s inverter.  I think he also mentions direct DC-DC charging but I’m not sure.  It would require voltage boost since vehicle battery is at much higher voltage.

Most residential solar systems that are grid connected do not operate when grid power fails. This is a code requirement to avoid back-feeding the grid and killing power line workers. To get around this limitation a home solar system starts getting much more expensive as you mentioned.

My first thought was they could soon be announcing a hybrid Bronco Sport but that would not explain the Escape and Corsair being lumped together.  I don't see Corsair buyers moving to a BS. We are snowbirds and the Escape PHEV meets our needs perfectly, a CE1 replacement would not.

We live in a free country, and if an EV is not right or owner can’t deal with its occasional limitations, they can choose an ICE, HEV, PHEV, or EREV instead.  Doesn’t get much simpler than that.       Back to specific topic, another solution mentioned in OP video is to add lots of solar on EV owners’ homes that can charge vehicles during outages.  Keep in mind very few EV owners enjoy this level of luxury because it’s expensive.  To quote Yellowstone series, “cool shit ain’t cheap”.   IIRC the guy in video lives in San Diego in what appears to be a nice house so he’s probably rich, or maybe in lots of debt. 😀

Well, it costs money to change something that doesn't really have any significant benefit so Ford probably won't switch to NACS until the CE1 EV comes out.   My opinion is that Farley really messed up EV adoption in the US by leading an unnecessary charge to switch to NACS and then completely failed to follow thru. We would be far better off if everyone just stayed on CCS1, especially since there are far more CCS1 chargers than there are NACS when you factor in Level 2, which is ubiquitous.   

The only thing that makes sense to me is if when Ford reveals the CE1 truck they also reveal or talk about the CE1 escape replace. Or they're hoping escape buyers will jump into the truck, but that's a long shot imo.
