Maybe a V8 for the Raptor only?   I don't know why the Bronco would need a V8 except to keep up with Jeep.  The 2.7L V6 has plenty of oomph (and actually sounds really good), so I can only imagine what the 3.0L in the Raptor is like.  Of course, the F150 Raptor R is selling for $100k+, so if the platform will support it, the folks with $$$ will buy it.

Yeah, I'm guessing a lot of the things on here are items they're considering, and trying to see how interested people are in various options.   It may have been on there, but they didn't show the "lifetime" initial purchase option for the bluecruise.  I'd rather go with that approach rolling into vehicle payments instead of endless subscriptions, though I know Ford (and the competition) wants a constant revenue stream for certain options.

He did mention later in the thread that there was like 12 pages of powertrain combos, so perhaps it was one, but not one they focused on?   I'd be surprised if they wind up putting the 5.0 in it.  This means that a 5.0 hybrid would also have to be on the way for other products, as it's not something that currently exists.  The 3.0 hybrid seems most likely to me, though I guess they're trying to throw a bone to the V8 crowd?

Yeah, I don't even pay attention to most of those renderings unless we get photos of lightly camo'd mules.  We don't really have anything solid to base renderings on except for that one buffer photo.  The rest is complete speculation at best.

Huh?  Why is that any different than when Fusion or Edge going from the Mazda-based platform to CD4?  Or Explorer going from D3 to CD6? etc. etc.
