There’s a big element of social engineering going on with aggressive legislation in favour of EVs and making life hard for people choosing to stay with ICE. Even with that, Europeans are still pushing back on embracing electric vehicles, especially to the thought of Chinese “dumping”.

Other than the coach doors, I don't see why this wouldn't go into production. I think the market is there for it. Maybe the next Santa Cruz, would benefit from his concept's style as well.

It looks like the Lotus, but by all means, build it! even if they only sell 10, it will outsell Lotus.

I like the idea of this, but not the execution. the front bumper is weird looking. The price is crazy. Interior looks good though. For $70k, all the windows should roll down instead of having to remove them.

Yes and I would hope that the next version of Bronco Sport grows in length and wheelbase  to cover more of Escape’s sales footprint. Curious about the Ford China project, looks good IMO.

Yea, according to the info jpd80 shared the legacy automakers in Europe are shooting themselves in the foot:    ...progress is still much slower than we expected a few years ago, with legacy auto still clinging to rent-seeking from their past ICE investments, and slow-walking their BEV offerings. This is despite very steep drops in battery costs, and China already passing 50% EV market share this year.

aww I DESPISE the Ann Arbor one. I go to the one in Brighton now after I moved. 

But from the same article  “Ford has now deleted those images from its site, a move that comes after we reported on this possibility - followed by Road & Track and CarBuzz, the latter of which obtained a statement from the automaker itself. "Do you think we would honestly show future product in our own photos?" Ford spokesman Dan Barbossa said in an emailed statement. "That said, we don’t comment on future product.” in any case, It doesn’t matter, they will cancel all of them in a year or so 😅

Europeans prefer small cars, have more expensive gas, have better public transportation and everything is closer. The average European drives 6500 miles a year vs 13,500 for Americans. Europe is literally the perfect environment for EVs.
