Maybe GM feels they need a few more sales of their platform to amortize the C8 costs, so they're going to sell it to Genesis?
Doubtful they would sell their flagship like that, though...
Yeah, apparently the newer yellow coolant is supposed to protect the seals on the water pump a lot better, I've even heard some people claim it would strengthen those seals, but I'm not sure if that's possible.
Definitely wouldn't be the first time...
That's why these years-early "just wait 'til 2047, you'll love our upcoming lineup!!!!"-style announcements get old because so much changes between announcement and launch date.....and that's if the product even gets there, with cancellation being the rule rather than exception lately....
Well, we've heard for so long that Mustang's platform couldn't handle a sedan, etc. etc.....so if that's true, theoretically a clean sheet BEV version would be "easier" unless they're looking to replatform Mustang altogether with something that replaces the coupe/vert that has the capability of a sedan?
Agreed. They're pushing Bronco, but not everyone wants one of those /want something more on-road oriented.
maybe the reported ICE Mach-E replacement will wind up being the Edge replacement?
To be fair, IIRC, that issue was on the EcoBoost models, right? Mine was an '09 the year before they added EcoBoost, so I just had the regular old 3.5L V6...
Right, but you're still talking about driving every single model that has even a single option over to another facility to install that item. It'll be interesting to see how it works out.
Exactly......I think it sounds great in concept, and then when people actually get into it, they'll be like "oh it doesn't have this?" "oh, it doesn't have that?" etc etc.
