The first quote is a good point of being a safeguard against potential future government policy - Ford will be in a good spot if/when that does happen, at least on the lower end.
The second quote doesn't make sense, as it says "won't have to wait until 2027 for more products", except F-150 was pushed to 2028, so do they have other products with more imminent timelines than CE1 truck? Doesn't make sense, we'd have seen something by now if that were true (spy shots, etc).....
Also, this was funny....
Get it right AutoWeek....
I would give an asterisk, though.....
*if Ford sticks with the current plan.
Sure, things look like they'll be ok right now, but if they continue to dramatically change plans and keep canceling products without replacements for years on end, they'll eventually be in trouble.
That won't work. It's still too big. When we replaced our mkx we drove an Aviator and it was just too big for us so we ended up with a Nautilus and it's the perfect size.
If they're doing a rwd mustang sedan and suv maybe they'll do a rwd Lincoln sedan and a SUV to replace Nautilus and Corsair.
Well, in the near term, Ford could pull a "Mazda Move" when they created the CX-70 from a CX-90 by deleting the third row of seats. Create an "Explorer Sport" by deleting (or, decontenting??) the third row and just market it as a 5 seat CUV....Not 100% sure, but I think PIU is already there.
I read that some Volvo EV needed a recall to replace the computer it came with because they had so many issues with it. I hope Fords new system doesn't suffer from that!

Well the no boring products seems to indicate that if a sedan is coming it will be something related to the Mustang-a thought I had is that maybe Ford will "replace" the Mach E with an hybrid Sedan Mustang?
