A lower beltline generally makes it easier to see out. If they only dropped the roofline it would hurt visibility, but lowering the beltline as well should help outward visibility remain about the same. -
How? That would also then lower the seating position.

Why not move the Mustang to TTP-it needs product 😛 -

If they lowered both the beltline and roofline, it should be fine. -
I actually liked how my Mustang didn't feel like I was sitting in a hole like other coupes.

I think long term it makes more sense to consolidate, but that's obviously from an outsider perspective. I feel like on its own, they have a tough time investing in Mustang too much, but if it can share costs over a broader range of products, that'll help investments.

I think having such an old platform is really harming the mustang's design as well. The basic shape is fine, but the wheelbase and overhangs, and height could be a lot better. I notice it because I'm into car design, a lot of people won't, but things like how the front overhang is longer than the dash to axle ratio, it just feels wrong for a rwd muscle car design. Ideally, moving to a new platform would enable modern proportions, push the wheels to the corners more, accentuate the longer hood, lower the roof and belt lines a bit, etc. Things that would make the mustang a lot better looking.
