I loved that thing back in the day and remember thinking how it would put Lincoln back on the map.     I remember Mulally came in right after the Interceptor and MKR concepts had been shown and received positive feedback - he was seemingly ready to approve them, and then was told that they weren't intended for production, just concepts......

What really burns is same wheelbase and track as Falcon of the time. That was North America taking the piss at Ford Australia’s expense, they had zero intention beyond a concept at a show.

F Series sales for Q1 2026 are down 40,000 compared to same time last year but thanks to RMC’s charts we can see that bleed slowed to 10,000 last month and 62,000 combined sales is a passing grade in my books (72,000 would be better)   F Series inventory is still skinny at 179k, normally 220k-250k so maybe building to order.. Combined F 150 production last month was just over 50,000 and combined. SD production was just over 28,000 - that gives us a rough idea of sales mix. When you add in sales to Canada and Mexico, I doubt there was anything left to go to inventory…   Explorer and Expedition put in a good effort with combined sales over 30,000 Ford continues to fight the good fight where ever it can and looks like the sales mix is favouring mid and upper series products. It’s a good strategy when things are tight.

Outside of Raptor I don't think it's nearly as profitable as Ford hoped with Maverick taking the lower end sales.

Large SUVs up 18% and an increase in retail marketshare are great for profitability.

sadly Ford seems more lost with the Ranger than any other vehicle in their current production line...

reminds me somewhat of one of my fave...the Lincoln MKR concept....

The red headed step child (Ranger) was up also.
