I realize that they gave limited views from angles you wouldn't see the car at, but that 3/4 hip area looks gross/way too chunky.

At this point I'd be perfectly fine using the current front and rear end of the car on the sedan if it comes out in the next 18-24 months and then do a full refresh of both of them in 2030 after the sedan is in production for a couple of years. -
If memory serves correct, the last new model that was introduced was the Maverick and that’s been 5 years ago.

Apple has had issues too with Carplay. Supposedly the IOS 26.5 was supposed to fix the problem but many people across all manufacturer's are still experiencing issues.

lets not talk about that either-I'm on my 4th windshield 😕 Its actually the 3rd one, since the first replacement they installed was a non-OEM one when the car wasn't even a month old-my inspection sticker is holding on for dear life at this point and I'm not due inspection till next year. I need another windshield because the current one got damaged by a rock that was kicked up by a car that was going in the opposite direction of me! I had no car in front of me! -

https://www.motor1.com/news/797785/audi-nuvolari-supercar-details-specs-photos/ Oh yay another super chunky looking car I did have this thought-is CAM/CAD having an impact on design? I know complex curves are a bitch in CAM/CAD software, so maybe “lazy” designers are just defaulting to what is easy to do in software. -
Same visual trick the Mustang Mach-E has at the rear roofline, but applied to weird places. They did it with the lower door areas, too, so the car appears to be floating. And of course, just like the Mustang Mach-E, you lose every bit of that visual effect if you have the vehicle in black.

https://fordauthority.com/2026/06/ford-issues-fix-for-apple-carplay-connectivity-issues/ I had an update on Monday I think, but I'm still having issues with the wireless CarPlay not attaching. I normally just shut my bluetooth on and off and it corrects it. It works intermittently otherwise. -

I don't think cars are going to see the same improvements in price that electronic items do-often what happens is the processes that actually make the chips get cheaper because the yields get better (i.e. more chips from a wafer) or it moves to a smaller process that yields more chips. Not to mention due to the AI build out, I think electronics are going to keep steady cost wise for the next 5 years, esp if they need to use any significant amount of memory in them. The new gen processing requirements and software defined vehicles have rather beefy computing requirements, so I think that isn't going to help on the profitability end of things with shortages of memories and GPUs to run them.
