I'd be surprised if it's "affordable".

I regret not using my free one. Just never was able to make the timing work since it'd have had to be its own trip to one of the locations.

30-40 somethings are relatively young. And then in 3-4 years when the car is being sold used 20-30 somethings would then go on to buy it, and so on

Once again I think many are ignoring just what the class 6/7 market Is. IMO, it is not restricted to the big fleets with mostly class 8 vehicles. Granted there are exceptions such as UPS and some rental companies but the bulk of the 6/7 market is American small business of all types where the truck is not the primary breadwinner but something that supports the business..such as building contractors, manufacturers, food, furniture vendors, heavy equipment dealers etc. And this I say is the true class 6/7 market. I spent my 44 yrs split between an international oil and a very large pvt co. that involved dairy, C-stores, gas stations and agriculture. Class 6/7 a very small percentage. -

I should have added to my post...definitely go to the Off Roadeo! Seriously, it is an absolute blast! -

It would be awesome, but I just don't see it happening. There were rumors awhile back that Ford was working on a new t-bird that was more performance oriented, and we saw them benchmarking a bunch of c8s, but nothing came out of that. Farley keeps mentioning this off-road supercar of his. I personally think doing a new RS 200 for that makes a lot of sense, maybe make it somewhat affordable, 60, 70, 80k, Ford's rival to a lotus, Cayman, or c8, but off-road oriented. But I don't see it happening. -

Even look at what happened with Scion and the Element like 20+ years ago-was bought by older folks who had fun money and could blow it on a car like that. Even then when the "economy" was better, the average car buyer doesn't buy something like that. Given the demographic shift over the years, "young" buyers are going to be 30-40 somethings. Lots of changes afoot with society because of that. -
Welcome back. If you want to venture down a rabbit hole, RTR has been putting out some fun bits for the Bronco, specifically the 2.3 since it's going into their factory model. I'd figured the performance tune costs way less than adding the 2.7 to a build and jumps the power up to the same HP and close to the torque. Only downside would be having to jump up to premium fuel at all times. So when and where are you going to Off Roadeo?

Likewise! Just curious...was the lousy dealer an old time house or part of a mega dealership? No excuse for that place to exist. -
I get a little giggle out of it every time an auto manufacturer talks about attracting the young "active lifestyle" demographic, only to discover that there's a lot of young "active lifestyle" people who aren't buying cars, either because they don't want a car, or they can't afford a car because they don't have a job. 😄 I don't consider myself "blessed" very often, but I'm blessed to have a customer base that has either done all their research (sometimes too much!), or they trust our dealership to build them a vehicle they'll love. Once in a while I'll get someone who wants something... dumb. It's hard to put a word on it without sounding nasty, but there are some ways to build a Ford that make zero sense. Sometimes we can educate them and build something that makes sense. At my old store we'd get some that would dig in and insist on their build... and we'd have to ask for a large deposit on that order and a binding contract to buy. Hate to get stuck with something goofy because the weirdo that ordered it backed out.
