Where are the Fathom batteries being made?
-
Your image isn’t working for me. exactly. And a more boxy or at least angular look seems to be in right now.

I'm willing to guess this: What was shown in 2024 was a drawing or something along those lines of a four door Mustang-we might have seen it already, it might have been this: With that said, I'd guess this is what is going to happen: The Mustang Mach 4 sedan will launch late in 2028 as a 2029 Model. It will be based on the current S650 platform, but massaged and updated to make it cheaper to build/etc with what was learned with CE1 program. Styling will be similar to the current coupe but updated. The Coupe launches in the summer of 2029, with the improvements that where put into the sedan. I wouldn't expect a huge change in styling like Deluxstang wants in a Mustang...that isn't gonna happen, but going by what is shown above, that should work fine for the next gen Mustang. -
very interesting details! I dunno, while the blurb did say “something first shown to dealers in 2024”, it didn’t necessarily say it was exactly the same. It could mean the general concept of it? the hybrid V8 also lines up with that survey about Bronco with a hybrid V8. Not saying it’ll get it but there’s at least another data point of quasi-confirmation they’re looking at one. Sounds like it’ll have a similar boxy look but be a non-Bronco product.

I was doing some digging into that and it wasn't building the battery going into the Fathom and was part of the deal with LG, which has since become Ford Power -
Isn't there another battery plant close to Louisville?
-
There really should have been a 4 door version in the beginning with the S650. Ford wouldn’t be in this situation in the first place. Including a hybrid as well.
-
eh I feel like those were bonus reasons, especially the latter. they were literally building battery factories Nextdoor for EV production too vs having to set up EV infrastructure at Louisville. Even so they’d have been setting up stuff for that while they needed to have things setup for CE1

It's related to Bronco Sport and Maverick, to be built at the same plant using the same 'bones'.
