Is this an opinion or from actual info? Yeah he apparently has sources, and somehow is supposedly able to see a lot of products prior to debut. Agreed on both thoughts.

Thought process of going with the new Fathom name rather than Ranchero: According to the automaker, here’s why a new name was chosen: “Fathom is an all-new vehicle, developed from the ground up on the new Universal Electric Vehicle Platform, using the new assembly tree manufacturing process and bringing new technology to Ford and the industry. All of these innovations called for a new, bold name – to give the vehicle personality, a soul, and make it a character in our customer’s life. This is the future of modern Ford.” Basically, Ford is indicating that the Fathom will appeal to a newer, younger demographic willing to drive EVs. Rather than resurrecting a classic name for an entirely new vehicle that old-school purists would likely balk at, Ford is indicating that the new pickup is so advanced and modern that, not only is it aimed at a different crowd than the original Ranchero, but the truck is so different from previous Fords that a new name is arguably necessary to indicate that this is a new step forward for the Blue Oval. Ford Explains Why Its $28,350 EV Pickup Isn’t Called Ranchero - Autoblog Also, for what it's worth, Borg is saying this is the Fathom logo: My response was.... Uhhhhhh ok? lol Why would it not have another box on the bottom left to create a better/more evident "F"?

To be fair, Chevy and VW showed several concepts for years or had the "concept" in movies (Transformers) for years before you could actually get it. Ford's approach is a drip feed of features thus far, not seeing the actual design, so the design itself won't necessarily be old by the time it debuts/goes on sale. Haha that's a blast from the past name..... Meh, 4-6 months from name reveal to ordering doesn't include ordering to delivery timeline, which Ford typically has at another 6 months. Most other companies debut the vehicle and name at once and then put it on sale within a couple of months. Ford has always been excessively long with their debut to sale timeline. In a recent question and answer segment on Reddit, Riley - from Ford's UEV team - said that customers will be able to pre-order the Ford Fathom in early January, meaning that it'll be early 2027 before that process begins. Notably, the official Fathom landing page indicates that pre-orders will open up in "early 2027," a bit more vague in terms of timing, though customers can sign up to receive updates in that regard. The interior isn't terrible, but not impressive either. -

Make or break, eh? I say this will break them. -
The "C" pillar looks too heavy and thick compared to the rear end.

Yeah the shape and the piano black color doesn't seem like it would be a good combo-I can see it getting nicked up easily. -
I think it doesn't work on 3 letter words or less for some reason. I think it used to tell you that the search term was too short but now it just gives 0 results.
