It would be just like Ford to convince everyone that sedans are dead and then release something buyers and competitors weren’t expecting…   Never say never but equally, don’t expect the unreasonable when there’s better choices   The little Fathom is probably going to change a lot of people’s opinions of BEVs, well at least I hope it does..

I feel your angst, my chiefs called me into the office and wanted a retirement date. I took that as my opportunity to name the date, so I timed it for planned office shutdown right before Christmas - it’s like 6 months longer than originally planned but everyone is happy including me.

To enable voice commands on Android Auto, open your phone's Settings, go to Connected devices (or Google settings depending on your device), select Android Auto, tap "Hey Google" detection, and turn on the toggle to allow hands-free voice activation while driving.  WIRED +1     Steps to Enable Voice Activation Open your phone Settings. The native sync commands don't work with AA enabled.  You have to hold the voive button for a few seconds then use the same voice control you use with the phone.

thanks AKirby;   so I found my 2022 king ranch 350 window sticker and next to the Vin# is the production date.  Looks like it was 4-5 weeks from production July 8,2021  to my CT dealer back in mid  Aug 2021.  That's why I was wondering if over the last year did delivery times get stretched out.  Rob

Absolutely not so on my 2026 Nautilus.  Responder error.   I just spent 2 hours with the dealership today having them struggle to find any way at all to use voice commands with media files.  It seems it is currently impossible to use voice commands to play any music except streaming.  "Native" sync voice commands, as we used with Sync3 and Sync4 on older and much more advanced Ford vehicles is completely gone.  If you try those voice commands on a current crippled Lincoln, the stupid vehicle simply responds that it does not understand, or, occasionally, says you have to install the YTMusic app (which ALSO does not work).   The dealer did mention that the Sync4 was still in the Corsair, but not the Nautilus.  I have no idea what is in the bigger boat; I should have been more specific.  

Excluding performance, its dead for Ford, GM, CDJR, Subaru, Volvo, just one model for VW, Mazda, and Nissan could join them soon. Only Honda, Toyota, Hyundai, and Kia actually have multiple offerings that aren’t on the verge of cancellation. Even luxury brands like Lexus, Cadillac, Acura are down to singular sedans that are performance-focused, Infiniti doesn’t have one right now. Only the German luxury brands really are still offering a respectable range in that end of the market.

At AT&T several years ago we had a guy who planned to retire at the end of the year (with subsidized health care).  We had a voluntary surplus offer in June which came with 6 months pay (for him).  He decided not to take it and instead worked until Dec. 31st then retired.   Tried to explain that he was basically working for free at that point but he couldn't grasp the finances.  Just said he wasn't quite ready.   Maybe his wife didn't want him home with her.......
