Huh? The Black Label hybrid STARTS at 80k.... I got to $89k without adding dealer accessories..... And I'm sure the 2027 model will be more.

Isn't this the same rendering they've had for a while? Funny that we can see a headlight shape that looks nothing like that. That hideous "Ferrari" does that too. I don't know if there's enough real estate for that.

I agree with your take.

2026 Jeep Recon EV Review: Fun, Capable, And Behind The Curve And the good news is that the Recon can take you well off the beaten path. Heck, you can get there with the doors off and windows out, just like a Wrangler. But you’re going to be eyeing that remaining range indicator for a fair portion of your adventure. The 2026 Recon arrives with strong styling and a healthy dose of Jeep heritage intact. But the 222-mile driving range, 400-volt EV tech, and $66,695 starting price might leave potential buyers seeking other options. I did see a video where the rear windows pop out with quarter turn latches similar to Bronco's roof. Could solve the issue of Bronco's removable windows that they dropped.

I think Ford is right for taking its time making sure the EREV approach does what its buyers want rather than rushing something out to have it.

https://www.cnbc.com/2026/09/08/ford-china-dot-sean-duffy.html Keep it civil and politics as much as possible out of it. My take-This just window dressing for theatrics, if the administration wanted to be really "hard on Ford" they wouldn't have authorized the Corsair/Nautilus to be imported from China and the hard fact is that the "best" battery tech comes from Chinese companies, till someone else comes up with a better way of making them. Ford has said they'll already move production or replace those products with ones made in NA in a few years. Why hasn't GM been criticized for importing large portions of their lineup from Mexico (trucks particularly)or Buicks that come from China? I'm guessing they'll be next. -

I don't think the customer base that RAM has will buy it, but others might. -
I should clarify. I know it will operate as intended. I just don't think buyers will buy it.

Ford apparently has it working in the Bronco Basecamp-it has a 1.5L I4 EREV in it. I think the bigger issue here is how well it is going to work when it comes to towing, which is going to be the big issue with a truck. The 3.6L works fine as ICE alone, but with it lugging the extra battery weight around, well I'm guessing that is the problem or they can't get the electrical gremlins worked out like they had with their hybrid products.
