2028 as a 2029 model. Rumors have a lot of changes including possible steer by wire and brake by wire. A new 6 cylinder engine is reportedly coming although it may not be ready for the first year of the n.g.

Surely there'll be a way around having to get your phone out. I mean, what's the point then? -

Yeah, if I have to get my phone out and unlock it to open the door, I'll just use the keys. You can start and unlock your car with the Ford app, but you can't drive it without the key. -

Thats Ok....you don't have to. Any Lincoln sports coupe can and should be called Continental.... -

Ha, wasn't even thinking about that, but it would be the more relevant point that you have to be able to open it up in the first place. -

I did a little research, and it seems like the answer is both. Nothing is required, unless you opt out of express mode. At that point, having a key is just as easy (if not easier). It seems like there's also an option to just have it unlock the car. My wife has the Ford app for her Fusion and it can already start and unlock the car. This is really just another step towards not needing anything other than your phone to do anything. -
I'm sure it can be disabled remotely.

Assume he was talking about accessing the phone. If it's in your wallet then you have to open your wallet to use it.

When is the next redesign? And is it going to be another “evolution” of the current design or will we see something more revolutionary? There’s nothing wrong with this refresh but it’s looking a bit dated imo. I do like the Carhartt trim. Would be nice to have a bronco version as a cheaper Filson alternative.

I'm just asking the question.... Obviously if your keys get stolen, they'd have your car. I had a time where I had my phone and wallet stolen, but NOT my keys. Had I had this, they could've had the car too, or I wouldn't have been able to get into my car......which is why I'm asking, as to see if there's any sort of workaround to lock the phone out, or access the vehicle should you have your phone stolen..... With Ford also yo-yoing whether or not the door keypad is still around (which is I think the backup entry method if you have a dead phone or something), I feel it's a valid question..... I don't think so.
