Yeah I've looked into getting different variants of fusion, I've heard both the fusion hybrids, and the 2.5 fusions are really solid cars. I was surprised to learn the hybrid in the fusion isn't the 2.5, because it is on the escape, rather it uses a 2.0 I believe. -
There were some issues with the 8f35 - most were fixed with software but some did fail prematurely. But when you consider how many they've sold in Edge, Nautilus, escape, BS and Maverick over the last 7+ years it's a small percentage.

I had 215K on the Fusion I bought off my Brother in Law while waiting for my Bronco to come in-no issues with the transmission at that point It had other issues like needing to replace the front brake assemblies and the door sills rotting out though lol -
The shop guys were saying the 6.8 was nothing more than the 7.3 with a shorter stroke, putting out less power. By that, you'd think the extra expense of having another set of internals for the same block just didn't make sense. Then again, I think that about several vehicles and engine options. Now, dropping the "standard" diesel and making the jump to just the 1200 ft/lb high output? Reminds me of the "torque wars" days. I'm all for it!

I stand behind my opinion that the mach-e is the only good looking coupe crossover ever made. Feel free to make any other vehicles that have looked good with that trend lol. -

The general consensus in the maverick community is that the hybrid is the one to get for long term reliability. The 2.5 is widely considered to be one of Ford's most reliable motors, maybe the most reliable motor they currently make. Go on any fusion or escape forum asking about most reliable powertrains and everyone is gonna say get the 2.5. E-cvts are also extremely reliable. -

Yeah the 8 speed has a lot of issues. The e-cvt in the hybrid is the much better transmission. -
Yeah, I agree.....don't see very many of them anymore.

Agreed.....it looks fine in the rear image, but strange in the front. That ZDX on the other hand.....there's no flattering angle for that horrible thing lol.

I wonder if it'll make their Maverick.
