not only did they save money on the parts during the build process, but then they sold you an aftermarket part and made more money. The only winner was Ford. It seems that is their MO now. Never mind value for the consumer.
Hey everyone! I am a college design student from Ohio, and I am working on a design research project around the Bronco. I built a short survey around aftermarket parts that will significantly benefit my overall research and final set of products I am designing for the Bronco. It will take about two minutes or so to fill out, and I would be greatly appreciative of anyone able to take the time to help! It will genuinely help bring my final deliverables to life. Thanks! Please let me know if you have any questions.
Bronco Aftermarket Survey
Well since downshifts are computer actuated, what else could it be? Maybe a sensor I guess.
For the record I've had no issues at all with my 2018 3.5l ecoboost.
Because a lot of individual tradespeople buy Transits and F150s and F250/350 - plumbers, electricians, delivery services. I think commercial fleet buyers do a lot more research, RFPs, etc. and deal with their fleet sales people. They do a lot more research on capacities and limitations and volume discounts. Totally different buyer. Nobodybuys a fleet of F450s because they saw atv ad.
The local dealer is trying to win local fleet sales by showing they have whatever you need.
That’s odd since Ford already took a huge paper loss for the three row BEV back in 2024.
I think the way this was released ahead of the 2025 Q4 result is a tell that Ford is trying
to write down as much as possible and now, evidence that it’s spread over a few years to
minimise tax on earnings.
