Saw something strange in Vancouver.  Gas was $200.  Apparently that was for 200 litres.  Which I think is around $7.40/us gallon.

Nah.  I still think that approach is stupid on the Mazda.  I'd think it equally stupid on an Explorer.

Jeez....what does the cost savings equate to for the FM radio delete? Assuming it does not have AM either....

Ford could just make an Explorer without the third row and call it Edge....kinda like how Mazda sells a CX-90 without the third row as CX-70....

I just checked an Explorer for incentives. The only thing that actually comes in around that amount is an Owner Retention Certificate announced May 20, 2026. It's not really for Escape/Edge owner retention, it's for owners who have had unsatisfactory repair or service experiences. It's a rare variable certificate, ranging from $1-$11000. The article didn't specify that the program they described is regional, but it's possible. It's also possible that Ford hasn't actually told dealers about this.

Apparently the R2 doesn't have FM radio....   The Rivian R2’s Radio Needs Cell Signal The Wilderness Doesn’t Have | Carscoops    Among the first new cars not to ship with a basic FM radio are the entry-level versions of the Tesla Model 3 and Model Y, and it appears that the new Rivian R2 also comes without it. An image recently snapped from the R2’s owner’s manual notes that while it offers a slew of different media sources, FM radio is not among them.   The closest thing offered with the R2 is the ‘Rivian Digital Radio,’ powered by iHeartRadio. The typical service provided by iHeartRadio combines digital radio with the ability to tune in to terrestrial FM and AM, and Rivian’s solution presumably does the same. However, iHeartRadio requires cell coverage, so it will probably be useless for Rivian R2 owners looking to venture into the wilderness where they cannot access the internet.

That's not a big deal, but a rear camera that may not show properly in 1 out of 100,000 uses is a major ordeal!

We keep inching down like most of the country. Our BP & Marathons don't report their premium prices, but typically $1 more than their regular.  

That's always been a thorn in my side. I'll bet a lot less King Ranches & Platinums would be sold if there wasn't the ability for every hobby-farm to claim it as a business expense.   HRG
