The Broncoized Maverick would follow the Escape/Bronco Sport template-
It would have squared out/tougher styling and more focused off road bent with an available lifted suspension like the BS Sasquatch.
I don't think the Gladiator would exactly be a target with it either.
Which means that making "affordable" vehicle all the much harder because the typical North American buyer won't by something that is smaller than say 175 inches long or so in numbers.
So like a next gen maverick that applies learnings about cost efficiency from CE1 to a ICE truck to make the manufacturing process more affordable, and leads to a lower price?
I like that idea, but I'd just make that the next gen maverick so it can stay true to its affordable, small roots. I don't believe it needs to be an additional model.

Not to say Ford is any better, but there are issues with them.
Fair enough. Soon to be minus Corsair and Lightning. I for one think starting with a truck for CE1 is a mistake, considering the loss of the rest of their CUVs and the trucks they currently have available. Just because you have X number of vehicles doesn’t mean you actually have significant variety for the general public to buy.
Well yes but it’s possible to take advantage of low series-high series parts.
I’m thinking that instead of a The usual Ford + Lincoln vehicles twinned,
keep Maverick for regular buyers and offer BS pickup as a higher series?
At the very least it would annoy those Jeep Gladiator
buyers who don’t go off road and just want the look.
