The reasons I heard make absolute sense for Ranger. Those same reasons make zero sense for F-150. That leads me to believe the decision on the F-150 side is completely different. That’s as deep into it as I’m willing to go. -
Hmmm, I'm thinking this is a built in China truck for international markets (not North America). And if that is right, then it won't be marketed/sold as the F-100 since F series trucks are almost exclusively North America trucks. It certainly won't be built at TTP since Farley told us that the affordable ICE truck coming from TTP will debut in the 2029 time frame. Ford has already confirmed the next generation Ranger is currently being developed in Australia: https://www.drive.com.au/news/ford-ranger-next-generation-already-being-worked-on-in-australia/

The way the article reads, this truck will not be sold in the U.S.

No doubt the accountants had their say, but I wonder if it is mostly to meet more stringent side impact standards? The Super Duty has a larger frame and is carried higher off the ground than an F-150, maybe it hits the side impact spec. Or it may simply be that there is no longer enough demand for SCab 150's. 🤷🏻♂️ -

I wonder if this is the F-100 and partly explains why the Supercab F-150 Is going away next year. -
That lands with a resounding thud. Lacks elegance and grace. Rear end is the least offensive part of the design. Otherwise, it’s just clunky and bland. What’s up with those side mirrors?

Thtats exactly where I got the info...Im somewhat annoyed, not quite sure Ford listens to their Dealer body as well as they should...maybe a bean counter decision...
-
Bad enough they dropped the SuperCab + 8 foot box option, which was ideal for contractors. Also that the only way to get the 5.0 in an STX is in a SuperCrew with Lobo. The weird choices keep piling up. EDIT - yeah, just looked at the Fleet Dealer News Bulletin. Last order date for all SuperCab F-150 models is 12-11-2026.

weird if thats the actual reason, especially after all these years of production...yet theyll continue with the Superduty. Not sure if the F150 Supercab body is utilized for the Superduty, but it too has no B Pillar,...lost me for sure. In F150 guise we sell a BUNCH, and not just to commercial buyers....granted, we sell more Crews, but this leaves a gaping hole in the lineup IMO.

I told you guys this is what F100 would be - a drastically cheaper to build Ranger replacement including lots of commercial and fleet options.
