I really like this aerodynamic pass though on the hood, very similar to what the charger EV has. As brands keep pushing to make vehicles more areo efficient, adding this allows them to improve efficiency, while retaining the more upright design a lot of people like.
I really hope this sort of feature makes its way to other designs like our full sized bronco, trucks, and even the mustang.
You can't revive the car business with the tiny volume Ford is doing in Europe now. Ford Europe is on an island now without the benefit of sharing anything with China or North America. Farley crippled the business so badly I don't know how he can build it back up.
Anyway, just another case of Ford changing strategy every 5 minutes... They would have been so far ahead if Europe didn't split off from the GE and CE programs to use VW MEB. And it's a real folly to not continue with new gen Focus and Kuga on C2 which would be relatively cheap investment since it will just be new tophats - there is absolutely no reason to get rid of C2 after only 1 generation.
It's normal practice in China so they are used to "New Energy" suffix on every car model name. No different than Toyota having Prius and Prius Prime and RAV4 and RAV4 Prime as separate models until last year.
Remember Ford also tried it with the C-Max Energi and Fusion Energi here...

Agree, Tesla has an image problem due to Musk that will limit sales until fixed. Additionally it’s also as if they have little focus on personal cars/transportation thinking that Robotaxi will be the only future. That may be correct but still decades away IMO. It’s sad because Tesla had a lot of engineering talent to take BEVs to the next level of adoption if not so obsessed with autonomous vehicles.
Yeah, you’d have to be pretty short to fit back there. However, given that Model Y had an optional 3rd seat before, it would seem that between the 7” longer length and added 42 mm (~1-5/8”) of height that space at rear seats is probably much larger than before. Obviously that may not mean much if comparing to a minivan or full-size SUV, but for what is essentially a tall car with excellent aerodynamics, it may not be too much of a compromise if 3rd row is rarely used, or only for kids.
What’s interesting to me and odd at same time is that roof line peaks in height over rear doors rather than over B pillars. Just looks a little out of place though it’s not unique in that sense. Regardless, if comparing profile pictures one can see that headroom at both 2nd and 3rd rows is much greater than before.
I’m also curious if with added wheelbase length and overall height if Tesla will increase battery capacity significantly.

Looks like Ford's gravitating back towards cars to a degree. This is just Europe for now, we'll see if this carries over into our market as well.
I'd love if Ford brought that same passion they have with things like bronco and mustang into a new hatchback. Give us something special.
So basically confirmation Fords getting back into the car game. This is fantastic news. Ford as talking about how they could see low slung non crossover models making a return to Ford's lineup as EVs after the puma, and vw twins were launched. Seems like that's moving forward.
