Ford Bronco Refresh Not Being Planned, But 2029 Could Be Big
This report – from Automotive News – says that the Ford Bronco will continue to gain new special editions and variants in the coming model years, but makes no mention of a refresh. However, it does note that the rugged SUV is expected to receive a more comprehensive redesign in 2029, which could debut for the 2029 or 2030 model year. It’s a bit unique in a world where most vehicles receive refreshes regularly – every few years, at least – but not terribly surprising given the fact that the Bronco’s main rival, the Jeep Wrangler, isn’t updated that often.
I really hope a 4 door version comes soon, it would be a perfect replacement for my Edge ST. If not, I may have to look at a Mach E GT.
A 7.0L aluminum Godzilla would be great for a new Mustang Cobra, the next Raptor R, maybe a LOBO R, Navigator "Red Label", Expedition ST, etc.
I had for about a month when my Edge was getting the hail damage repaired. I was also shocked how nice it was. The Fox gauges were cool, launch control was fun, and that 2.3 EcoBoost was very impressive. Mine didn't have paddle shifters, which would have made it a bit more fun. And the suspension was really soft and the tires sucked, but overall, it was a great car. If I could find one cheap enough, I'd definitely drive an EcoBoost Mustang.
It allows the dash to sit lower for better visibility while having the screen be higher and a little closer. It also makes it easier to have different size screens or swap out screens from year to year. Much better ergonomics and to me a much better overall look to the dash.
