I mostly agree with you. But the 2-seat, 1957 312 "E" code engine (two four barrel carbs) and 312 "F" code engine (supercharger) were much more than boulevard cruisers.

Mine switched to production 2 days ago i think, last I checked my build date was July 24th and I just got my window sticker today.

I placed my order May 8th but my dealer didn't let me know about the CVOP until JUN 8th. So I filled it out, sent pic of my DL and then he confirmed it then. I'm hoping I get scheduled next week. I have found 21's that are similar to what I want but id rather have a 22' already as its a newer year on paper.

What really helps is how much Ford and GM helped with Covid response, especially Ford helping front line medical workers. With the new Delta Variant making huge inroads, more help will be needed from industry. Hospitals in Missouri are already filling up and shortages of ventilators reported. Looking at numbers of new covid cases, numbers are climbing exponentially now with vaccination rates deteriorating quickly. Delta is 5 times worse than Covid 19. It does seem like Toyota, Honda, Nissan, and even the Koreans are becoming more "American" with each passing year. Most or all have major engineering and design centers located here. For example, Toyota has a huge center in Ann Arbor, MI, and Nissan in Farmington Hills, MI. And all have huge assembly operations here. And of course thousands of dealerships. So I think the domestic/foreign argument is rather old and pointless. Just hope all can be profitable and support their employees.

And when the customer calls to check on their vehicle status, Shelby's representatives will tell them that they're Shelby and they'll get to the customer's vehicle when they can and until then the customer can just wait. It's one thing to buy a Shelby Mustang which is built on the Mustang production line at Flat Rock, it's another to have to deal with Shelby directly in Las Vegas. Yes… as much as can be anyway. The dealer sent me the stickers, however the compression rate made them a bit hard to read. He resent them and they still aren’t super clear. I’ve attached them for anyone else interested. FWIW though, according to the window sticker, it comes with the snow plow package, the HCTT package, 4x4 and the 275/70R18 A/T tires. The only extra configuration that is on mine is the camper package. According to this trucks stickers, it has the 10800 GVWR and a 2853 lb payload! (That’s great for the diesel engine!) There is nothing that I know of that actually lists or ties a “tow rating” to this specific truck, so I’m thinking that it won’t make a difference in which tires I initially order…. So I’ll keep my order as is with the A/T tires. As well, I was very excited to see the payload of 2853 lbs! Mine doesn’t have the 5th wheel package like on this truck, as well as the include XLT Premium package or the Chrome package stuff, but the camper package on mine may zero that out (does anyone know how much weight this package would add?) and I expect my payload to be right about the same as this one! It’s also interesting to see that the front springs are 5990’s. I keep seeing folks say 6000 lb springs but maybe they are talking about F350’s. I wonder if these are the same springs but they just put a 10 lb reduction sticker on the ones that go on the 250’s to debate the 250? Thanks for sending this info over!

I think a couple guys with a welder could create an Excursion from a SD crew cab in a few hours. But I don’t think the juice is worth the squeeze considering production constraints and all the other new projects.

Parts of Ford seem separated from other parts of Ford. BOF doesn't pose a trademark issue for Ford, so it will all work out over the next few weeks. Nothing to worry about here
