BORG
I've had... 1989 Merkur XR4Ti 1994 Lincoln Mark VIII 1996 Ford Taurus 1996 Lincoln Continental 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII LSC 2000 Lincoln LS 2002 Lincoln LS 2005 Lincoln LS 2005 Lincoln Aviator 2007 Lincoln MKZ 2007 Lincoln MKX 2009 Lincoln MKS (Coming October) So far, my favorite car of the lot is probably the 2002 Lincoln LS. The 2000 had lots of incurable bugs, the 2005 was more powerful but had a softened suspension which killed the chasis dynamics, but the 2002 was just right (no problems and was a blast to drive). The Mark VIII LSC is my sentimental favorite because I always thought it was the best looking car I ever owned, but it drove like a barge scraping along the ground. The Lincoln LS was a revelation when i first got it, never have I owned any Ford as smooth and powerful, huge leap in sophistication! Least favorite, probably the Continental, sloppy driver and ugly as sin. I also hated the '89 Merkur because it was loud, turbo laggy, and SUCKED HARD in snow; but it looked brilliant back then! The 1996 Taurus was the best car for the money, while the MKZ is by far the worst value (get a Milan, you can't tell the difference, I SWEAR! The Milan's transmission actually feels better!). The MKX is close to perfection, not a single flaw or problem to complain about, tight as a drum and fits me PERFECTLY. I have never been able to spend so much time in a car in absolute comfort, the seats are brilliant! One of the reasons I was happy to move beyond the LS were the flat and hard seats, particularly in the 2005 LS, although I miss the power quite a bit when I'm wrestling with other aggressive drivers . I will actually take the MKX out for a drive just for the pleasure of driving it, particularly with the Vista roof open on a nice summer evening. I could go on and on about the MKX and it's a wonder I don't make it my favorite, but I'm chalking that up to the fact I like many SUV attributes (large tires eat up bad roads quietly and the higher seating position is inherently more comfortable for tall people). I liked the Aviator, but it was numb, bloated, and cramped for me (the Explorers have terrible head room when equipped with moon roofs). bravestar
Favorite is a tie between my 2007 Mustang GT and my 1996 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe. My least favorite has to be the 1984 Mustang GT. Loved the car when it ran properly but I had a lot of trouble with the four barrel and loading up with fuel. Several trips to the dealership never resolved it. Hugh
Two questions for you BORG. When you pick up your MKS, are you losing the MKZ or MKX? I think you mentioned disappointment in the Z. Second, MKS, Front or All Wheel Drive?

joihan777
Owned: 1978 Buick Century 1991 Ford Escort 1988 Dodge Minivan 2002 Daewoo Lanos 2004 Isuzu Rodeo Sport 2005 Toyota Sienna 2007 VW Rabbit 2006 Mustang Droptop Favorite BY FAR is the Mustang. Even though it only has the V6, it still has enough power for some fun driving. The Rabbit was zippy but not much to look at and a pain getting in/out. The Rodeo Sport [Amigo] was very tough and fun to throw around. With the suspension mods I put in the Isuzu it handled better than most cars. Jeeps were better on the rocks, the Isuzu better on the streets. I still miss it from time to time. My 1991 Ford Escort has a special place in my heart. It was small and not well powered (108hp?), but the 5-speed manual and the low suspension turned that little Escort into my own little Porsche! It loved accelerating uphill and took the small streets with enthusiasm. Whole lotta things happened in that car! Darn good on gas too! I travelled all over California, from the deserts to the Sierra on $5 and whatever change was found in the back seat! The midnight blue was a great color too. Worst driving car OF ALL TIME: Dodge Caravan. 3,300# vehicle, 2.4L I-4, 3-speed trans.!!! I called it the USS Minnow!
WaylonJennings
Least: 1995 Dodge Neon - Light Rosewood Satin Glow.. in other words, pink! Worst driving car ever, terrible suspension, it had no options. It was an ugly little rat. Favourite: 2001 Buick Regal GS - Black w/ silver two-tone Big, fast, useful. Pig on gas though. But I've only had crap for cars anyways: -1991 Ford Aerostar -1995 Dodge Neon -1984 Ford Mustang V6 -1992 Buick Skylark GS -2001 Buick Regal GS

94bronco
Owned 3 cars 94 Bronco 88 Mustang 5.0 LX ( wrecked) 91 Notch 5.0 LX Can't say that I have a better time driving either one of them, They both serve different purposes for me and drive completely different. The Bronco is a relatively slow, poor handling road pig but it is plenty loud and will get people moving out of the way real fast. It is lucky to hit 10 MPG but it always starts up and has started up everyday for me for the past 4 years and is definently a very reliable rig and a good vehicle to be driving in when the weather gets bad. I also absolutely love the 351 which is a battlehorse of a motor with loads of low end power ( also has 4.56 gears and will easily spin the 35's when wanted)that will take a good beating and just keep going and going. The Mustang is my vehicle for when I want to go fast, do burnouts, and swing it around a corner or go have fun in a parking lot. I don't mind beating the crap out of the Mustang as it is not my everyday driver and is just a fun play toy but way too impractical for everyday and I am a little too tall to be very comfortable in it for extended periods. Devodev
Favorite: '88 Mustang LX 5.0 Wish the body held up to rust like the powertrain did to my right foot. She always showed up strong at the stoplight, drag strip or just cruising. Worst: Another vote for an '05 3.3L Dodge Grand Caravan. Still got it as I'm now accustomed to paying a note and repair bills. My LDL cholesterol levels will drop 50 points when this thing is out of my life. fxcomet
Worst: Tie between my 76 Chebbie Monza with the brilliant 262 V8 and the Mrs. '98 Nissan Sentra. The Monza, for obvious reasons (I was in college, gimme a break), the Nissan because it ceremoneously cracked a cylinder head 42 miles out of warranty and Nissan said "Sorry about your 'ruck." No AWA, no goodwill, nuthin. To which we replied "See ya" and have proceeded to steer at least 50 buyers away from Nissan (and counting). Best: I'll divide this up into modern and collector: Modern: 89 Thunderbird Supercoupe and my wife's 08 Edge. Collector: My 60 Ford Starliner with the 460 and 6 speed (gone to Texas) and my 65 Mercury Comet B/FX replica (gone to live in Canada). Paul Selby
Torn on my favorite, '04 Mach or '06 GTO. My '02 F-150 has been the most trouble free vehicle I have ever owned. Biggest POS I have ever owned was a '79 Olds Cutlass. It was a beautiful car, bucket seats and the rally wheels but always had something going wrong with it. My love/hate car was a '70 Cougar convertible. I loved it but it became a garage queen after putting a ton of money/work into restoring it. I was sacred to death something was going to happen to it when I took it out, could no longer enjoy driving it.

I had a '90 Supercoupe, and really should list it as a favorite. The car went like hell, and cruised at 85mph like a dream. The active suspension was always a cool bragging feature, and you could really feel it work.
RichardJensen
78 Ford LTD II Broughm I didn't own it, but I drove it for 'bout a month: 1997 Chrysler Concorde. Nothing like driving around a fullsize car with brakes off a Neon. I have never driven a car that felt less safe. Big ugly numb steering, terrible brakes, just an awful awful car. Don't know how my sister and brother in law could stand it. Edited September 23, 2008 by RichardJensen
