Anthony
Somehow, I don't see the correlation between the two, which makes this fit so much better in this thread! That was the point!

RichardJensen
Your MKT is so ugly, I want to take a tri-bar grille and shave its rump-bump off. Huh? Shouldn't this one be more like, "Your MKT is so ugly, you ought to slap headlights on the tailgate and drive it backwards?"
2005Explorer
Your MKT is so ugly, even whales with braces think its nasty. That was awesome! I will have to remember it! :happy feet:
FordBuyer
1) Kill Lincoln off 2) Rehire Jac Nasser 3) get back to a plan that was working like the PAG 4) all this reform and profit is not good for business... How about just killing off already dead Lincoln and putting the money that was going to be used on new Lincolns and give it to the Ford brand. After all, Ford brand makes up 98% of total sales and ditto with profit. The Lincoln name has no more name recognition than the Mercury name and perhaps less in 2011. The Ford brand is still not completely fleshed out with no new RWD vehicle and no smaller pickup. For that matter, there is room at Ford for a two seat sports car and a Jeep like vehicle. With Ford Trucks, Ford Cars, and now Ford Electrics, that is enough branding for Ford Company. The world doesn't need another fake luxury brand. Lexus, MB, Cadillac, and now BMW are enough. Pretty soon all of them will be making FWD small vehicles for under $35,000 if they aren't already after incentives and cut rate financing. jpd80
Ford should stick to trucks and geeky FWD car because that's all they know how to make. There is no way that Ford can ever produce Lincolns that people will want to buy en mass. Lincoln should be dispensed with immediately as a complete waste of time and resources, it has absolutely nothing in common with any other Ford product or manufacturing facility. Maybe they should consider selling the brand off as a separate entity.... Edited February 4, 2011 by jpd80
aneekr
Mr. John Wilkes Booth: To be sure, it has been nearly 146 years following the infamous incident at Garrett's Farm. We must ruefully inform you that Lincoln is still alive, and as such would like to enlist your assistance. Lincoln is to be found not at Ford's Theatre, but at Ford Motor Company. Please consider this opportunity to depart Green Mount and avail yourself this excellent chance of fulfilling your lifelong quest. Sincerely, Your supporters at Blue Oval Forums Edited February 5, 2011 by aneekr

FordBuyer
They should get a top notch HR person in charge of Lincoln's product development. No one else knows what they're doing. Actually, Ford hired a top designer from Cadillac and expects him to turn around Lincoln styling wise. That's a cruel joke on all the Lincoln fans on here who hate Cadillac. The final straw for me was Lincoln's December sales when every other top luxury brand was enjoying double digit increases. I see no business case for spending billions on new vehicles, hundreds of millions on marketing costs for vehicles that sell in such low volumes in North America only. Ford is popular in many countries around the world, and Lincoln is not even popular in its home base. Lincoln is nothing more than a distraction from the Ford brand that still needs some work. Let GM fool around wasting resources on four brands, and Chrylser three, and Ford will be all the better for focusing on brand that gets all the sales and profits. Platinum and Titanium model trims make Lincoln irrelevant. We already said good-bye to Mark LT, now good-bye to rest of Lincoln lineup that no one considers for purchase. I still say Lincoln's biggest ripoff vehicle is the MKZ.
FordBuyer
Question: Why are Lincoln sales down so much? Answer: Because all of their customers are in the nursing home! Actually, hardly anyone from any age group considers Lincoln brand anymore. Since the MK quadtuplets are all over the place here in Metro Detroit, this Metro area must be one of the few areas in country that actually buys them. I imagine most of them are executives and their wives from Ford glass house and the campus around it.
Noah Harbinger
I believe the Concept C has the potential to go down as the ugliest car in history unless significant changes are made to it. Metro Detroit is the styling holy grail that Lincoln needs to aspire to, so that people can buy them used for a great deal....that and Lincoln should change the name of the entire division to MKT....
