Sherminator98
Interesting article on GMs issue with its new EVs. Makes you wonder how many Ford is going to run into. https://insideevs.com/features/709703/gm-ultium-problems-software-batteries/amp/

mackinaw
That was a very interesting read. Sounds like batteries are very difficult to manufacture, especially in volume. And GM kind of shot themselves in the foot by not hiring new engineers who understand this new technology. I see GM just hired a Tesla battery engineer to right the ship. He's got his work cut out for him.

This place is a whole lot less interesting without him. He was a counterpoint to the half dozen or so anti-EV zealots. Without the handful of actual insiders, this forum wouldn't be worth visiting. His opinions weren’t interesting they were downright irritating because he continually ignored facts. He was just as bad as the anti-EV zealots you mention although there are only a couple of those. The rest of us are just realists and it turns out we were right all along about EV adoption taking longer and reaching a plateau and about autonomous cars not being viable.

HRG That’s fair but there is a difference between educated opinions that have some common sense, facts and history behind them If your opinion is people want to buy station wagons with manual transmissions, history and common sense says you’re wrong.
