I think to a large extent, Rav 4's success is just another reflection of Toyota's reputation for quality/durability..vs Ford's ever presence in the news with recalls.

Of course but that’s the point.  We’re several months into the 25 models and there are lots of 2024 PHEVs still available.  One local dealer has 4 available even at $10k+ off MSRP.

I only said PHEV because that's what was mentioned - I should've said regular hybrid (which is what I see as more viable).

Not sure PHEVs are viable right now.  There are multiple 2024 escape PHEVs available within 20 miles of me with $9k rebates.  

though it'd add additional weight, it'd have more room to fit PHEV components with the longer vehicle.
