That reminds me of the days in the 70's when Dad's TV store was exclusively Zenith. The distributor that sold them to my Dad was run by a well established Jewish family, they would tell my Dad that if you could not sell it at a "sale" price, raise it instead...damn if they weren't correct.
For those interested, I finally made a comparison of Maverick and Ranger sales to see what happened once Maverick debuted....results are about as expected - Ranger sales decreased when Maverick debuted, BUT this doesn't account for Bronco's ramp up around the same time when Ford started artificially limiting Ranger sales in favor of Bronco production.
Ranger has rebounded to equal what it had pre-phase out middle of last year, but hasn't recovered to earlier levels....meanwhile Maverick keeps growing a lot, with by far its biggest sales month ever last month.
Always hated sedans with "reverse wedge" (droopy butts), same with the ovoid Taurus of the 90s. Did have one of these at a red light last week, his lane is forced to merge into mine after the light, he was "cute" trying to floor it, totally took him by surprise where he almost ran himself off the road because the car behind me was not about to let him in either and was on my butt. It did have a new blue exterior.
Tell that to the idiots mass protesting today because they don’t understand what the long term goal is. They only see the stock market taking a (predictable btw) dive.
Trump's legal authority for these tariffs seems questionable. I won't be surprised if the courts overturn them. Of course, U.S. can't continue running $2 trillion budget deficits with a $36 trillion national debt. The tax increases and spending cuts needed to get things under control will cause considerable pain, but hyperinflation would be worse.
