Whoops..this is getting sticky but let’s just say that CE1 products are mid -sized as in bigger than compact but smaller than full size.

How do you know the width of a CE1 van?

Returning to topic, Ford Universal Electric platform is Farley’s baby, any other BEV programs will now be reworked to include the new construction processes revealed recently. So much money could be saved by moving Mach E away from GE and GE2 Ford could quickly catch up and cover compact and mid-sized Electric vehicles.

Theres a lot more 3s and Y’s out there so potentially more insurance claims. Lets face it, the cost of repairs are hideous especially when involves giga casting and battery replacement. I wouldn’t be surprised if many are declared write offs - especially if Tesla walks away from them.

Way to go Ford, pouring cold water over a certain corvette, LOL

We live in interesting times, how much more this will end up costing is anyone’s guess.

Or just build the North American version of Transit Connect…the biggest impediment with the previous TC was no high roof option - that is what really hurt sales. the third vehicle on CE1 is supposed to be a van being sponsored by Ford Pro. Now if that is true, it will be much wider than Transit Connect but not quite as wide as Transit Custom which is about the same width as RWD Transit. And the reason Transit Custom was not sold in US is to maximise sales of RWD Transit.

This morning's updated gas prices in Hamden, CT (Greater New Haven) $3.05 Regular (Cash) @ Gulf $3.09 Regular (Cash) @ Citgo Prices up and down again the past few weeks. There's usually a $ 0.10 difference between the Gulf and Citgo stations which are located on an island at the intersection of a main artery in town and only separated by a Popeyes restaurant between them. -

That was with them losing pace at the end, and the top speed being limited to about 160. If they can find a way to improve the top speed moving forward, and improve whatever caused that power loss at the end, I wouldn't be surprised if this thing could easily run a low 6:30s or even high 6:20s. Insanely impressive.
