This confirms the reports that we'll get the Chinese model, and it makes sense that we'll get what they already have. I think it'll work fine because they got a more thorough update than we did. What I'm curious about is when they'll get a full redesign? I think the refresh debuted for 2023, so I wonder if it's due for a full redesign soon, and maybe this is just a stopgap until a new model arrives for both markets?
Oh, I thought you were saying somehow put one in the back of an F-450. But that's still funny!
"Inspires" and "sells a lot" aren't necessarily hand in hand.
Very true for 2026 MY, though I wonder how much of that decision was influenced by need to improve fuel economy versus real demand, particularly if MSRP reflected true manufacturing costs? In other words, with gas being so cheap presently and Trump administration postponing penalties, should base ICE be extended a couple of more years until government changes direction again? These changes take time to implement so likely planned before government redirection.
Toyota no doubt build a very competitive HEV, but my understanding is that they also sold a significant number of base ICE RAV4 through 2025 Model Year. I think it was also a 2.5L 4-cylinder with 8-speed automatic which seems to hit the mark for many economy-minded buyers. Various manufacturers are using that powertrain combination, or very similar.
I guess having remodeled the train station and opening a new world HQ, they thought the dealers also should remodel their showrooms, now that the Signature 1.0 remodel (2017) is paid off. My preferred Ford dealer has one of those coffee machines that grind beans for each cup-maybe the'll upgrade to a live barista.
Ford Escape, Lincoln Corsair Production Halted After UPS Plane Crash
After the crash occurred, power was turned off at the Louisville Assembly plant, which is located directly next to UPS Worldport - the largest such facility operated by UPS across the globe, as well as the headquarters for UPS Airlines. Workers at the plant sheltered in place after the incident, and were eventually evacuated once the coast was clear. "Louisville Assembly Plant employees went home last night after the controlled power outage took effect across the local area. No employee injuries we're aware of," Ford spokesperson Jessica Enoch said.
Enoch added that production at the Louisville plant will remain paused at least through the morning shift today, due to a controlled power outage in the area, though the plant itself didn't suffer any damage from the crash. Todd Dunn, president of UAW Local 862, also confirmed that no employees at the facility were injured as a result of this incident.
Idunno. Must be some kind of supplier war in my area. Within a 3 mile radius of my home, prices vary by up to 49¢ per gallon! The BP and Holiday (Circle K) are across the street from each other, and the bottom Holiday is just across the boarder in MN. 🤷🏻♂️
